Guys - I ran a CarFax for a car I was interested in, and the report came back that the first owner was "corporate." I read Car.com's information on the corporate designation, and it said that the car likely belonged to a business.

Can I get your input on what this means for its resale in case I want to sell it later on down the line?

    Thanks

No biggie. Just means the car was registered to the business rather than an individual. Usually done for tax and/or write off reasons.

I did the same with a Mini Cooper S -- tax right off and had a boat load of fun while doing it. :)

It's not a stupid question, because a lot of people read "corporate" and think the car was sitting in some sort of company parking lot, waiting for the next junior executive to borrow it for the day. I suppose in some rare cases that might be true, but highly unlikely.

Like Alan, I also own a corporation. It's small, but any vehicle registered to it would show up as "corporate owned", even though it's just little old me driving the car...
