Here's a detail question for the 512TR owners. There is a 1994 512TR that appeared on FerrariAds yesterday, and it looks very clean. The rear decklid is all red - there is no black section in the center. Is that correct for the '94?

I've looked at only '92 and '93's, and their decklids are uniformly black in the center, and many have the old "TR" badge on the black part of the deck. Has this '94 had its decklid painted, or is it correct in red?

Mine is black, and I heard that the correct color was black but many have been repainted red. I personally like the contrast with the black. It looks like it would be easy to go back to black if you wanted, as that piece can be removed.

AS FAR AS MY UNDERSTANDING THE RANGE FROM 1992 - 1994 ALL 512 TR WERE BALCK... SOME OWNERS WANTED TO COPY THE 1995 F512M. SINCE THE F512M WERE ALL PAINTED A SOLID COLOR FOR THE DECKLID..

IT HAD TO BE PAINTED MY FRIEND TO MAKE IT A SOLID COLOR..

I think it must have been painted as well, but it looks very nice just the same.

At a Ferrari show a couple years ago I came across a 512TR that had the matching decklid color. I asked the owner if he did it himself and he told me no, it came from the factory that way. He even had the documentation from the factory stating this so it's possible that its factory original.

I know several friends that have painted them over the years. AFAIK all 512TRs were black from the factory, and the 512M's were matching. (With Ferrari it is always possible to make a special request, for a price, which may have been the case with the above mentioned documented dude.)

Thats a beautiful car right there. Very nice, very well kept. Very rare to see one with a matching TAN dash like that. Personally, I much prefer the typical Ferrari black dash top, what do you guys think of the all tan interior?

I am glad I have the black, myself. I would prefer all black, but I have the black and tan.

I like the tan dash in this case. On most cars I prefer the black dash. I wish I had a black dash in my testa rossa instead of the brown.
