I'm relatively new here. Just got my car a few months ago. Have enjoyed the forum. Very informative. One little question at this point. I have a tool kit, but I'm not sure it's the right one for my car. It measures about 9.5" high by 15" long by 6" wide. Pictures are attached (hopefully).

The main reason I'm concerned about whether it's the right size is that the strap in the trunk is not big enough to tie it in. So either the kit is the wrong size or the strap, which looks original, is not correct.

By the way, what a car!

    Thanks,
    Jim

Thanks Robb. I thought that might be the case. I have seen that one. If that is correct, maybe I can find someone to swap or put it on eBay and get the right one.

    Thanks again,
    Jim

Hi Jim, I have a 93 348ts and is exactly as the photo posted by Rob with the straps on the front.

    Hope that helps. Cheers.

Shape and what in them depends on year and country.

So I guess the tool kit I have should be marketed as an early F355?

I have a UK 1990 348 TS and the tool kit is the tall version as Jim has posted.

(Perhaps the earlier cars needed more tools for repairs than the later cars! :p )

I have a 1990 TS and it has the flat one like Robbs pic. It does appear that US vs Euro versions may be different.

My July '89 build car has the flat tool bag and it fits perfectly. I just searched it for any date codes and the only thing in this regard is a white tag on the flat inflation canister that is really faded but appears to say "Replace June '92". The inflator bag is also black with the Agip and Ferrari emblems on it and not gray like the pictures shown on the Euro Spares site. My kit also has the correct early alternator belt with the early part number. I could be wrong but the 355 kits didn't have the ratchet with extension, universal and spark plug socket (maybe the early ones did?). It is fun searching all these little differences between our cars.

Thanks for all the input and insight. Sounds like I might have a correct tool kit for some 348, but probably not mine since the trunk straps are not long enough. Since it's a pretty nice kit, I'll just keep it until there's an opportunity to swap it. Thanks for all the help. You guys are great. Hope I can contribute sometime.

    Jim
