Correct Borrani Wheels For 365GT4 2+2?

    Can someone confirm for me that the correct Borrani wheel information for a 365GT4 2+2 is as follows:

    Wheel size - 7 1/2 X 15

    Hub Number - 42

    Wheel Number - RW 4075

    Anyone have a good photo of these on a 365GT4 2+2 confirmed to have them as an option from the factory?

    According to Keith Bluemel's "Original Ferrari V12 1965-1973" the 365GT4/2+2 came with 7 1/2 x 15 light alloy wheels with Michelin XWX 215/70VR-15 tires but Borranis were an option. The alloy wheels were identical to those on the 365 GTC/4.

    The wheels were attached on splined hubs with a three eared knock-off nut for most markets. Cars for Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden did not allow the triple eared spinners and so those cars had octagonal chrome retaining nuts.

    He does not provide information about the size or model number of the Borrani option but does note that "Although Borrani wire wheels were still available as an option, they were very rarely fitted to these cars; Ferrari customers were coming to accept the move away from wire wheels and the elegance of the alloy wheels that succeeded them."

    Sounds as though you may have a rare option on that car.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the info. I'm afraid my original post wasn't clear; I don't have a car with these wheels, only gathering information about the cars that did.

    Was very helpful to find out that the alloy wheels were identical to those on the 365 GTC/4. Does anyone know if the splined hubs themselves are interchangable between the 365 GTC/4 and the 365GT4 2+2, or are they different parts?

    Same (splined) hubs for Daytona, C4, 365GT4 2+2 & Boxer.

    RW4075 (15x7.5) Borrani is the correct size/version to replace the std. 7.5" Crommodoras.
