Since we are returning our '69 to its original plexi configuration from its current pop-up headlight arrangement, we need to source some of the parts we are missing. I think we have a line on the actual headlight mounting hardware, but we still need the plexi cover and its top and bottom metal surrounds. I've only seen NOS surrounds at Maranello Classic Parts and repo versions at Brandoli in Italy (who haven't responded to my inquiries for some reason).
The plexiglass part appears to be available through several sources. Are they all coming from the same manufacturer? And, if not, is one more correct than another?

Thanks for any help on this,
    Rory

For some reason, whenever I contacted Brandoli in English, I never received a response. I tried using Google translate to write them in Italian. I received an immediate response!

Interesting, but unfortunate as I have a lot of questions for them. Thanks for the tip.

I wasn't familiar with them. Obviously very talented fabrication shop - I'll have to spend a little time on their site.

    Thanks

Of course. Italian is the language you have to speak and write when communicating with Brandoli.
I know the family since 40 years, super nice and extremely talented people. But they do not really understand nor speak anything else than Italian.
the father, Egidio Brandoli, about 80 years now, used to build 250 SWB, 250 Lusso, 275 GTB, Dino and Daytonas during his many years at Carrozzeria Scaglietti in the 1960s and 1970s. Later on he opened up his own panelbeating business and restoration shop in Montale, that's between Modena and Maranello. Egidio Brandoli is still working there every day, and his son Roberto Brandoli runs the shop, while daughter Cecilia Brandoli does administration. Cecilia speaks and writes English, but she works not full time there and has some other work as well.
Brandoli has all original body bucks for the aforementioned cars and massive experience and know-how. They have restored many dozens of classic Ferraris to the highest level.
    All highly recommended.

I have not found that to be the case. Whenever I have contacted Brandoli, I have always received a swift and courteous reply in English from Cecilia Brandoli.

My daughter will be coming home from college for Christmas break after over a year of taking Italian as her language requirement. It seems my investment in her education will pay off sooner than I expected.

Thanks for providing the background on Brandoli, Marcel - it makes for an interesting story.

I have a NOS plexi top cover. I may have headlight assemblies also from a car converted the other way

Quite possibly. There have been several times that we have said "Somewhere are all the parts that were taken off this car in '81 when it was converted to pop up headlights, if only we could find them". We'll be talking to Mr. Shaughnessy very soon.

    Dear All,

Anyone who could help for the Carello parts number for the head lamps of a Plexi Daytona? Are they the same as with the pop up setup?

    Thanks a lot

While not familiar with Plexi arrangement, per se, other than Sealed Beam lamps required on U.S. market cars (& perhaps the yellow lens lamps on French market examples), I can’t see why headlights would be different between Plexi & pop up set ups, but if someone knows more, I’m curious to learn.

Bulbs are not in the parts manual.

I just checked the different versions of the owner's manual, and they just specify the type of bulb, but does not specify any vendors or models.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a body-parts manual that showed the plexi-specific stuff...
