    I have an early '85 GTS QV, build date of July 1984 and am trying to source out the correct emergency light for the tool kit. I have the outlet under the dash for the plug but see that there were two different styles of plugs. Does anyone know which would be correct for my car? See photo (from a fellow Fchatter) of the two types I've seen. Image Unavailable, Please Login

    I can’t help you out with regards to a QV,but my 87’ 328 came with the one on the left..
    it also has the words ‘HELLA’ and ‘GERMANY’ stamped on the sides..

    I remember seeing in the past at least one older thread with the sequence and approximate change over window (since there is no certainty) - the one on the right looks older
