I have a set of 5 nice rims on my car
They are the RECORD 16 5 1/2" Aluminum rim steel center.

    Three fold questions

    Factory / Originality

    1) Where these wheels only painted in the center and exposed polished aluminum rims like in these picture? ( From a Dealer ) or Where there all painted one color not showing the aluminum rim? ( My Car ) all silver rims

    2) Was the steel center ever painted the color of the car?

    3) On my hubcap the word Maserati is not painted.
Where ever painted black or a certain color?
Is that something collector refill in color rather than buying a new old stock?

Yes, polished rim and SILVER/ARGENT painted steel wheel center.

No, NOT body color. As per factory.

Yes, MASERATI script on the caps was painted black.

Black paint fill on the Maserati script caps. Paint fill.

Re: how to paint that black script - I found gloss black touch up paint at Pep Boys that came in a roller ball dispenser.

It was very easy to apply as I didn't have to do complicated masking of the script- the beveled edges of the script keeps the pen point "inside the lines", giving crisp lines to the paint. The downside is that the pen doesn't create the smooth finish inside the lines that a spray paint would. However, it's more than acceptable and an easy solution to what would take a few hours to mask.
