Has anyone been able to locate the original color sway bar bushings for a 246 Dino? The only bushings we have been able to source are red in color. Original appears to be a brown/tan color.

The original swaybar bushings on my GTS and GT were black.

I kept my black originals ( nothing notably wrong with them ) and replaced them with red new ones from superformance. However, I first coloured them with a thick black indelible felt pen. Approximately 5 years on they still look black an new.

Are you referring to the D-link bushings or the end link bushings?

I was referring to the two D-shaped bushings but I think all the sway bar bushings involved were originally black.

I just can't be sure. I had a Type L that I did a chassis restoration on about 30 years ago. I swear that the D-link bushings were a brownish-red. And, to further complicate my memory, I spoke to the same Algar "parts guy" that I've dealt with since 1982 and he tells me that as long as he's been with Ferrari, he only recalls the brownish-red. Then again, who knows what was used in 1969?

I'm sure Ferrari Classiche knows the answer. :) Maybe Ferrari used two purveyors for their bushings some black and some reddish brown.
