Is there a difference in the tool kits and books for the various years?
What should they consist of? Thanks

bjwhite, thanks, that helps; the 77 400i red just now for sale has a "tool roll" in it;did the 84 have only the one like yours or are they interchangable? You knowledge is awesome!

I should have also added that the Series II also has a "tool roll" which consists of the jack, lug wrench, triangle and maybe a couple of other things. I'll see if I can find a complete picture.

77 would be a 400...carbed car. This roll is likely the jack and lug wrench. I thought the 400s had a briefcase style tool kit in them which should look like this.
Ferrari 400: Ferrari 400 Toolkit suitcase

I am not 100% so I'm sure someone will correct me on these earlier cars.

The book pouch is likely different for a car that early as well.

Ok...here is another picture of the complete kit of a Series II 400i. This one has the green bulb holder like mine and also shows the "roll" which contains the jack and lug wrench.

Also a picture of the contents of the Series II "roll". Mine though also has a silver/grey plastic case containing an orange emergency triangle--likely because mine was a French market car and this is required.

So do I take it that your 400i didn't come with any of the tools?
