Seems the Torrix rocker switch is the correct one. But I'm not sure about the colour of the arrows on the switch. I've seen 3 types so far:
    1) two hollow white arrows
    2) one hollow white and one solid white
    3) one hollow white and one solid blue

Which one is the original OEM, or it's different depends on the manufacturing year? I've got type 3 currently in my car as pictured below.

If you're planning to make switches make ones with hollow silver arrows for the boxers!

There are enough of non-OEM in the market so I'll pass :)

Trouble is that I'm not too sure which type is the real OEM for our injected 308s :p

I've seem all of the three colour types branded Torrix... Can you share your experience as I'm sure you've seen a lot.

Open arrow up and down. That is my vote. You can also find those open arrow ones with illumination, but the originals have no illumination. Michael's picture is spot on.

Mine used to have the white outline arrow switch like ME308 until they went bad then I replaced it with the solid and lighted white arrow.

Funny you mention the window switches... I was just researching that myself...

I decided to re-paint the silver arrow because they were pretty much completely gone.

The thing I'm curious about is the switch bezel... Mine appears to be black anodized aluminum maybe? It has turned a tad purple... Does anyone know what that bezel should look like?

I can't be certain that they are indeed original, but from the wear, if they were swapped out, it was along time ago...

The car is an '85 Euro QV GTS (S for sun)

I think the bezel comes with the switch as a whole piece. Look at the pictures of an original Torrix that I grabbed from eBay conveniently below.

So it looks like two hollow white arrows are the only correct type as I found out the one hollow one solid white is not Torrix and the one hollow and one solid blue Torrix like mine is having 4 pins only instead of 5 pins.

Is your bezel metal or plastic? I was watching a video on YouTube from a few years back of an '84 for sale) with very low miles. As they were sweeping across the center console, I noticed their switch bezels looked a bit like mine, but maybe a bit more black, but I could still see the faded anodizing (I think).

    Thanks,

    Franny

I dont want to hi-jack your thread, but while you are on the question of Switches, I would like to ask for some help here. I have just re-furbished my seats and center console. I took all the hardware out to re-dye the center console. Found that the Rear Defrost switch (I have a 85 QV) came apart, so I am looking to replace it. Best I managed to find is about $32 from the UK or $69 from here in the US. Again, it seems that teh old "F" car name means people can charge whatever they want. Guess we are all held hostage to this. My final question is even more difficult! The little silve plate that the switch is mounted on to, says "Rear Defrost". Unfortunately when removing the masking tape, the Black lettering came off. I have tried to find a replacement, but the only ones I have found say "Aeriel" not " Rear Defrost". Anyone know where I might be able to find one?

My 85 QV had hollow up and down.

I replaced them last year and the only ones I could find were the solid lighted ones.

I found these Torrix switches for about $27 each. They look like brand new as well. These are Alfa Romeo GTV6 switches, 4 pins Torrix. Appears to be exactly the same as those posted previously. :D

I realize that my old switches are actually 5 pin Torrix as well. Except Range Rover, only Ferrari used the same type of 5 pins Torrix switches according to my research so far. Anyway, I'll keep the old ones as spare.

    Hi Piezo,

Where did you find them? Are they currently available? Do you have a part number?

Do those have a plastic or metal bezel?

    Thanks,

    Franny

Found them on eBay. Don't think there's any left. It's the OEM window switch for Alfa Romeo GTV6, not sure about the part number though. It is basically identical to the 308 switch except it has 4 pins only. If you look at the wiring, you will know these 4 pins and 5 pins switches are no different as the 2nd and 4th pins (grounds) are connected to the same ground wire.

The bezel is metal, just like the 308 switch.

You can also source the Land Rover one. Also 5 pins Torrix switch, though not yellow(ish) plastic base but black plastic.

Thanks so much... So your search was for "Torrix switch" or did you search on the Alfa Romeo GTV6 Window Switch?

Neat that they have the metal bezel... That seems to be a sticking point. There are a couple on Amazon (believe it or not), but they look plastic...

    Thanks,

    Franny

You will find lots of repros out there, most likely with plastic bezel, but real Torrix ones should all have metal bezel and must be rare on the market.

I searched with "Alfa window switch" and went through the list. More specific your search, less chance you find what you need.
