((On the second set of laps, she was in the driver’s seat, and perhaps made it up to 40mph around the entire track. She left first and after 5 laps came in last. To keep my narrative short, fast forward to Day Two and her two instructors had worked with her to get her skill level, confidence, and ability to a point where she was routinely able to hit 160mph on the main straightaway))

    1. Wow. Incredible. What's the female version of big, clanking ones? She's got em!

    2. You're correct. You're never getting your hands on the car again...

Thanks for taking the time out to post both your reviews. They are very articulate and exactly what draws me to FerrariChat as a forum . I'm more certain to send my 18 year off to one. He thinks it's a waste of money but hopefully attending the Indy Challenge event in Sept will change his mind.

He is saving me $50K a year by getting into Mech Engg at UIUC in-state vs CMU after all :)

My opinion, the Corso Pilota offering from Ferrari is expensive but well worth the money.

In 2023 I attended the Sport class at Thermal in California and was so impressed by the offering that when the 2024 schedule was released I immediately signed up for the Evo+ class at Indy, which happened to be the only Evo+ class that fit my schedule.

The Evo+ class differs from Sport in that on day one the car is the 296GTB and on day two the car is the 296 Challenge. And for our class there were a couple of 488 Challenge Evo cars that were still in the fleet. The 488 Challenge Evo's were used sparing as they were enough different from the 296 that when switching cars one has to focus on which car you were driving and how it drove differently than the other car.

Day one of Evo+ progressed the same as Sport with hot laps on track driven by the instructor, then student, followed by skid pad, cone course and more track time. Day two was the same except for more track time as well as a cone course competition.

One interesting observation from my class was at least a couple of people were taking all three classes, Sport, Evo+ and Race, back to back. After two days of driving I was tired and can't imagine the fatigue someone would experience after six consecutive days of track driving. At least at the end the three classes the person would be well on the way to obtaining a racing license.

Anyway, another great Ferrari experience. I'll be looking for the 2025 calendar to sign up for the race class.
