I took the course in '98 - it was still at the Mugello track, but with 355 (some manual and some F1) and 550...

Yes, I took the course at Mugello at 1994 and 2004. The second time we had F1 and stick 360s and Maranellos. The 1994 course had no chicane set up on the straightaway. So we could hit about 185mph in the 12 cylinder cars. In 2004 they put a chicane to slow the cars down. Also the ‘94 course was 5 days. The 2004 course was 3 days. Sometime after, Americans were directed to take the course at Mont Tremblant in Canada, which was a big letdown from going to Tuscany!

In '98 they already had the chicane, in some session they used Alfa Romeo GTV as pace cars - without chicane they would have been too much outperformed by the 355 and 550 (no matter how better were the drivers in the Alfa).
And IIRC the course was already 3 days, for about twice the 1994 price.
Today they also use smaller tracks (Fiorano, Varano, Misano) - just checking now, they also have a "limited edition" at the Mugello track. But all courses are only 2-day now, apparently.

The courses in the US are two days. They have several venues, including some out west IIRC.

In Florida (2121) they were held at Concours (Miami), a small private track of about 2.2 miles. It was not overly technical - reminds me a lot of Homestead.

Cost for two days, which included the F8 Tributos and 812s, is $15,000 plus…….

Still a lot of fun and a great way to gain exposure to the world of tracking while driving some of the better F cars Ferrari has to offer.

After this I decided to join Chin Racing and work my way up the ladder using my 458. It’s been an experience.

That’s the best time of the year to be in the hills of Toscana!
