it was the Spirit of Daytona car, testing the new C7 bodywork on the DP. I believe Richard Westbrook was driving. haven't seen much discussion elsewhere of the crash so I don't think it was anything serious.
That is the #90 Spirit of Daytona Racing Corvette DP usually sponsored by VisitFlorida.com. Drivers include Richard Westbrook and Ricky Taylor. Team owner is Troy Fils. Damage looks superficial. The recovery crews will routinely remove the nose in order to get the car on the flatbed so as not to damage the splitter. Looking at the right rear tire/wheel, it appears to be slightly deranged suggesting broken suspension. As this was an official test, there likely won't be any news about this coming out from the team. Had it been a serious incident, the cockpit would have been compromised and one or more of the wheel and suspension assemblies would have been ripped off the car. We don't see that in the images, the car looks relatively intact. BHW
You should have seen Sebring when it was in its original 5.2 mile layout and essentially right foot to the floor flat out for 95% of the lap with hay bales and apple baskets as the only thing between the track and spectators. That circuit had a way of separating the men from the poseurs. BHW
