    Long Story Short..

My wife still has her first car...
    1976 350 small block...thats all they had in 76..
hasnt been started in over 20 years.
Left out in elements for past 10 years..

    Car should be junked...period.

but the sentimental value to her is important..

so, I am thinking of finding an identical year and color car..
and having a corvette shop swap out the needed parts...thats everything but frame.

That should cost less than tearing car down and replacing with new parts

    I know sounds ridiculous...But!

Anyone have any idea who could do this???
    Thanks
    Michael

There is a shop in College Point NY called Vette Works, give them a call. I have seen some very nice cars come out of there in the past when I had a business there.

Bills auto body in fairview is a vette nut who really knows his stuff. Top flight corvette is another. They are in fairview as well. An expensive proposition no matter how you slice it.

Call Pete at Long Island Collector Car Garage. They have done many corvette restorations that have been featured in Vette Magazine and Corvette Magazine. Their prices are very fair, their work is top notch, and they are well known for full restorations in a matter of months...not years... you will be happy!

Corvette's should be easy to restore as they are glassfibre. I strongly suggest that you restore this one. If your wife ever finds out she is not actually driving the same car you will be in the deepest **** possible.

Honestly you could restore a Corvette in like 4 weekends. All parts are available, etc.
