    Does anyone have an idea what a replacement key for the Gallardo would cost and what the time fram is for getting one.

    I believe it takes 3-4 weeks because they come from Italy. It is a two piece item, the remote and key. Once you get the key, you need to bring in the car and have about an hour or two labor to reprogram the remote. That is an aditional charge, I am not sure what that will be so probably key and labor will be 500-600. You need to show driver's license, registration etc and pay upfront. It is all quite reasonbable and about what you'd pay for any modern car. The cost to replace keys on a BMW these days is even around 400, so this is a steal! ;)

    The guys at Lambo Power probably have a better clue.
