I will be in the market for another car soon and am debating between a 575 or a Gallardo. The maintenance costs are one of the things that I was thinking of and that got me thinking of the cars that have CCB. Anyone know what a full brakejob costs on these? Are CCB prices coming down as more cars use them or will they remain very high. I guess I was just thinking that if a common wear component is prohibitively expensive to deal with what that would do to future re-sale values on CCB cars? Just curious, I could be way off and have no idea what I'm thinking so please be kind Also, I did a search and did not find this covered, Thanks, dsd
Thanks, but I think I meant to ask how much will it cost for a disc and rotor replacement during normal wear and servicing? If this number is very high, I am wondering if it is because of the scarcity of CCB products and will likely drop into more acceptable pricing for the masses as applications increase? Thanks, dsd
ok, don't know cost on 599, but my CS rotors + pads and labour is about £10k fitted. hopefully this cost reduces as technology gets better and CCM gets fitted to more cars.
Hello All, Does anyone know the length of time, miles, etc CCB's will last? I believe Porsche claims 100K for their's. Is it the same for Ferrari's? Thanks,
From what I´ve read, Carbon Ceramic discs will last the same as the car...I dont know about the brake pads though... ...now that I think of it, they use to say that about ALL carbon brakes...not Carbon-ceramic...
