I originally posted this in NY forum, but got no responces. Maybe this is a better forum, so:

I was wondering if any one had recently had their clutch replaced and how much it cost them. I may soon be buying a 99 f1 f355 that needs a clutch very soon, and would just like to know what to expect. I will be taking the car to Jim @ Wide World he seems to be both reputable and honest, but since he has not seen the car yet it was hard for him to give me a firm number.

BTW At what % wear does the clutch has to be replaced - When does the trany light come on? This car shows 70%.

Is the clutch any differnet on the F1 to a manual? I think the plates are the same in which case in the UK the kit costs around £350 ($550 approx) plus 3 hours labour
