i don't think the wheelbase was the biggest issue. when the floor had to be redesigned, that really hurt their speed and progress.

The Windtunnel being out, certainly didn't help as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the new sidepods and wing. I just wish they would come up with some solution so that they didn't have to have barcodes all over the car for most of the season. It takes up so much space, yet Alicé and Martini got very little space on the car this year.

Kimi's car should have "Powered by Finlandia Vodka" on the sidepods.

...I believe is not possible to race 2 different chassis...what is possible is to have a diferent way to put it togheter, I mean, the F2003GA had the posibility to attach the front tires in 2 positions, one further from the rear track, and that allowed to adapt the car the car to more twisty tracks...

...so if the long wheelbase isnt touched...there was nothing wrong with it...the modifications made for fuji didnt show real life improvement due to the monsoon that hitted that day...but from that race on we had more balance only based on mech grip.

...so they must have come up with something to correct the problems on slower smaller venues...

It is possible and it will happen, but not in 08. Once more city like circuits are on the calendar, teams will develop two chassis.

...but curent rules dont allow you to race different chassis...they dont even allow especific aero packages for every circuit...
    ...I read that somewhere...am I wrong?

Completely wrong. On all counts. :)

You can build as many different chassis as you like. Each new chassis type needs to get crash tested, but apart from that no problem.

New aero packages are created for basically every circuit. Some of the better F1 magazines normally do a review of the individual changes after the race. On my last trip to the Beverly Hills Ferrari shop I found a neat technical book, that discusses the F1 technology for all teams. You can see the differences for each team for each race. Development never stops.
