Just a quick note to say the Costwold Area Ferrari owners club meeting is taking place on 09th November at the Roman Court Hotel, stow on the Wold. We have decided to throw it open to ANY FERRARI OWNER, (membership not required of the FOC). The only stipulation is to bring your car and not the daily scuttlebucket:tongue3::thumbsup:
The meet starts at noon with a meeting for sunday lunch, completely informal and the Hotel has plenty of good ferrari friendly parking. My girlfriend owns the place, and so I have a vested interest in putting on a good show, so get your cars out and come over to join us.Easy to get too and good driving roads abound:wink3:
If you can let me know who, if anyone, is coming so I can guage interest, currently have approx 20 cars/owners.
Menu for sunday lunch is attached and the link to the website also. Look forward to seeing some new and hopefully old faces:dude:

No Francis, hopefully not, Asha is my Girlfriend (although coming from hereford the former is more likely!!!). Asha took over 10 days before the world famous thames valley meet disaster of last year, and was horrified with what she had inherited, so she has gutted the kitchens , completely refurbished and revamped the restaurant, redone all the outside front garden and a really smart canopy /patio area etc etc. £350k later and still there is much to do. Had the relaunch do a few weeks ago and the evening was a great success, had 20+ ferraris turn up along with some other exotica. The hotel is now used regularly by the Alfa club, The historical rally association use it as one of the time trial stopovers and now the costwold group are back this coming month, hopefully for a regular stint with luck!
She has invested a huge amount of time and enthusiasm into this and now I'm trying to do my bit to put them back on the radar, as it were. She was very disappointed with her baptism of fire last year when the previous owners lied through their back teeth over the working condition of the equipment, and particularly the TV's and that made her decide to just close it and completely gut the front end. Next the hotel side, but thats for next year!

    Hi Andy

Sorry misread your original post, should have written girlfriend not sister.

The Thames Valley do was a difficult start for Asha, having only just taken over and despite the difficulties we were very impressed how hard everyone tried to make it work. So glad things are now all sorted. There certainly seemed to be lots of building work going on the few times I have gone past in the last year. I'll let my guys know in case anyone wants to make the drive out. It was always a favourite place for us.

    Hi Phil,
hope you are well mate. Sorry you can't make it but if any of the west mid group want to come over we'll be delighted to see you all. It's a nice straight run down the Fosse way and the hotel is also on the Fosse so dead easy to find. you also have a pm coming.
    cheers
    Andy
