After driving my car all over today I noticed that the clutch pedal didn't feel quite right. When I depress the pedal it starts out fairly easy then about 3/4 down I get a lot more resistance. There is no slipping or any kind of chatter. Lately this car has been a bit of a money pit and I'm worried this is going to be my next wallet adjustment. Could this be something I never noticed before and the thought of another repair is just making me a little paranoid? I did do a search but it didn't prove to be to helpful so any comments on this will be appreciated.

It could be the cable dragging. Might be time for a new one.

No cables on a Mondial - all hydraulic.
May just be an adjustment, or need a system flush and bleed - check the fluid level; My hydraulic fluid gelled up after a couple of years when I forgot to change and flush it.
Typically, the clutch slips under power when the clutch plate is going.

    Good luck

You got me on that one. I've only ever seen a couple of them here (no clutch problems). When I was in Monterey, it seemed like everyone in California has one for a "grocery-getter".
