    In the 328 Registry there's a pic of #76329, 20 cars later than the one you're asking about, and it also has the concave wheels. Might be a bit before the '88-1/2' designation would be my only guess.

    From the research I've done, this car seems to be about $10k high with 5 days left. I've seen nice '89 models that are listed lower than that. A shill maybe?

    note: In the case this is a car owned by someone here, I am not discounting the car. It seems very nice. It just seems like a strong figure, especially so early in the auction.

    The "88 1/2" moniker generally means that the car has the updated ABS suspension, but not the ABS brakes or ABS convex wheels. There are other minor cosmetic changes, and some minor engine upgrades too (not power related, but mechanical in nature).

    That is a "tip top" price...but appears to be a good car. Hope I can get a price close to that on my car... ;)
