Couldn't wait to get back downtown for some cheap gas!

My whole issue with oversized SUVs hasn't been with their low mileage, but more with the safety aspect. There are a LOT of under-qualified and over-distracted drivers out there wheeling these things around the streets and highways. I'm a bit of a hypocrite since I now drive a Ford Escape. But it's on the smaller end of the scale, and I have a kid and two dogs that accompany us almost everywhere we go. Plus, I'm barely using a tank a month.
