just read this ---(I wonder what the REAL truth behind Hartley really is!!) Carol * * * David Coulthard has stepped back into the role as the reserve driver for Red Bull's two Formula One teams. With the energy drink outfits' former reserve Jaime Alguersuari moving into the full time Toro Rosso seat this weekend and beyond, his predecessor Brendon Hartley has opted instead to focus on his racing pursuits in F3 and the Renault World Series. Before Hartley was granted a FIA superlicense earlier this season, Coulthard fulfilled the reserve role, and the 38-year-old Scot confirmed in Budapest on Friday that he is once againon standby for the Red Bull teams. Coulthard, who retired last year after nearly 250 grand Prixs and 13 wins, already travels to each race as a team consultant and commentator for British television.
I'd like to see him take someone's seat for a few races say if Webber does anymore damage to his leg. I'm sure he could add to his 13 wins.
They need an experienced driver at least as a backup. With Buemi, Hartley and the punk kid, they'd have 3 newbies otherwise...
Good point. Perhaps this has as much to do with team maturity and setting-up cars as it does politics.
I am telling you, 2009 is DC's year.........unless Brawn decides to give RB the green light to race, then it could be RB's year instead of DC's.
