Nero/Crema RHD DD 25th UK-registered B 51 outside Harrods in Knightsbrdge, London. I think he's taking a picture of the wrong car! What a difference 2 years makes. At the beginning of this thread the 25th was the overlooked and unwanted Countach. Now values close in on half-a-million. Who knows, one day it might become the most valuable Countach, as last-of-a-series cars sometimes become. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not yet. I believe what I said was "Now values close in on half-a-million", as in, values are heading towards that figure, as can plainly be seen. A good friend sold his car in Newport Beach for $400,000 net. See some advertised cars for $499,888, $399,888, & $369,888: Lamborghini Countach For Sale - duPont REGISTRY.com The point is, when this thread started less than 2 years ago most considered them $100,000 cars and gave them little respect. My how that has changed!
I know of a white on red with white piping anny, with maybe 3500 miles... rear wing, 1 owner , never titled, might be interested in selling for the right amount of $$
Maybe drives it with a dealer or transport plate ??? I have a Viper GTS that is still on MSO with coincidentally 3K miles on it
I don't see that. Here is one with even less miles (@ 1,800) that just sold for $358,000: 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary | London 2014 | RM AUCTIONS Here is Tom Hartley's car with 4,350 miles in like-new condition that asks $352,000: 1989 Lamborghini Countach - 25th Anniversary | Classic Driver Market I'm thinking around $350k for a very nice low-mileage example, and that's a lot up from a few months ago.
I guess he thinks in the near future $500k, They did jump up in price quickly the past year, so maybe he thinks next year or the year after $500k...
Joe, neither car resides in the US. In Europe, the economy is in the toilet. You should compare apples to apples. Neither car is a fuelie.
Looks like the red 25th at Midwest Exotics sold for $426,100.00. Lamborghini Countach Countach 25th Anniversary | eBay Mike
Fair comments, although some say a DD 25th is highly desirable. Anyway, now we have a new USA price for all to hang their hat on, $426k!
[I have a yellow 25th KLA 12978 =joe sackey;142023605]Jeff, I wish I knew! Chris Bennett who took all these images in 1990 unfortunately did not write down chassis numbers, but, its possible he recorded the dates of the images which would help, but still not be definitive. I will contact him & see. That I can't be certain that the silver car is in fact the Museo car is in light of the fact that I've discovered that there clearly were more silver cars than we originally thought. Hopefully we can get a definitive production list showing chassis numbers & liveries and put all the speculation to rest. That would help with your 12002 which perhaps is the first customer car. Yes, the factory tell us and have recorded 12085 the silver Museo 25th as the very last Countach built on the production line. Caveat: that doesn't mean there cannot be one or two POST-production cars. The yellow car may in fact have been significant, because shortly after Chris Bennett took this image below, its was paraded outside and posed in front of the factory for a photo-shoot. The image of the yellow car moments before final completion could have some interesting captions, but I can easily imagine Ubaldo Sgarzi on the phone with an impatient & expectant owner: "Si, I have 3 of my best guys on it right now!"
