  1. 2018 now, yes. 1990 then, maybe not. I would guess it was done in the early 90's when the Anni car was still relatively new. A 87 qv was a much cheaper car at that point than the 89.

True - good point. Might have been done years ago.

Yes, I can see your point. Still, it would have taken an interesting personality to do the mods. I’ve never seen another example like this, though that’s not to say there aren’t others. From a purist standpoint, it’s a nightmare. HA

  4. There is a few still out there. The amazing part is the amount of effort & money expended to do it, regardless of taste!

    Correct.

Also correct, I've known that car for @ 20 years, and I'd say that it is a lesson in the notion that when you buy a car, you also buy the owner.

I think I stated that poorly ;) but the owner's practices & habits result in any given car's current condition.

Oh - I got it. I guess for me, the Anniversario isn't my ideal Countach because it wasn't the one on my poster. But it's not excluded from my search, because it has different shaping to the seats, and different pedal spacing that I'm aware of, which might help with my back disease, and my fat feet. A lot comes down to the exact colour combo, and whether it excites me.

Having said that, I definitely would not want to buy a real QV that looked like an Anniversario. As you say, it reflects the owners practices and habits, and neither one appeal. Along the same regard are US vehicles made to look like Euro models - however that is a bonus, not a detraction. I've seen one vehicle recently advertised by a dealer no less touting the retention of the US warts and blemishes as a selling point - good luck with that!

    I used to own this car between 2000 - 2001, Chassis 12633
It was originally registered as G452TYU along with G451TYU which was a well photographed in the motoring press and another red car G453TYU.
What is interesting is that three three cars were incorrectly registered by the UK DVLA on July 31st which should have seen them on a 'F' registration, as the 'G' registration wasn't applicable until August 1st - essentially an administrative error.
When I sold the car with just over 4,000 miles on it, and yes, it was Rosso Pearlato, it was re-registered onto a private (vanity in the US?) number plate '3OND'. When this number was removed from the car, the UK DVLA put the car onto a correct 'F' number plate, F139RRO as you see here.
This is the same car as you have shown earlier in the thread at London's ACE Cafe.
It was supplied new without the rear wing which was retro fitted in 1998 by it's previous owner to me.
I've not seen or head of the car for about 10 years.

I took some home video of me driving about in it at the time - it makes me cringe now, but I was only young at the time and overcome with enthusiasm....

    Thanks for this Robert.

Strictly speaking, not freshly on the market, as both cars have been advertised @ other venues as available for some years now, and have been privately available for over a decade, in fact the owner, Richard Earl actually posted on FChat about their availability a couple of years ago.

The Arancio 25th KLA12958 was a special-order car, the only one completed by the works in that color, I saw it in person @ Silverstone in 1990 when it was brand new and Richard had just driven it over from Italy on EE plates, it is more striking than images can convey.

Totally original one-owner Countach in one-off livery made famous by the Miura, how cool is that?

FWIW the matching-colors LP400 which inspired this 25th is 1120106 which Richard has owned for 32 years since 1986

No affiliation but I alerted a major Lamborghini collector in the UK about this one, freshly-serviced and with less than 4,000 miles, all ancillaries present, totally original, I wonder how many people will be sorry they didn't take advantage of the current opportunity?

As far as I know it has to do with the layout (air ducts/-chanels) of the old dashboards. Producing expensive new dashboards (for the new A/C control unit) for the just a handful of 25th Anniversary in a RHD version doesn't make sense. They've decided to use the old RHD dashboards (stored spare parts) what require the old A/C unit.

The same situation can be observed with the Urraco P300 where the LHD cars had the stepped dashboard from the outset and the RHD cars had the flat top dashboard until stocks were exhausted. Nothing was ever wasted...

This and awful road conditions are reasons why many don’t drive their special cars much.
