ZA9C005A0KLA12462 is well-known because of its owner, Barry Robinson, famous for his exploits with Countachs. The 4th & final Countach he owned, this RHD UK-spec 25th was an early production 1988 example. UK-registered BR 33 then F 467 PYE, was sold by Bonhams after Barry's ownership tenure. Bonhams 1793 : 1988 Lamborghini Countach Anniversario 25th Coupé KLA12462 The text reads: "First owned by well-known Lamborghini aficionado Barry Robinson, during whose ownership it was registered ‘BR 33’, right-hand drive chassis number ‘12462’ is the actual car featured in the eight-page centre-section dealing with the Anniversario model in Peter Dron’s book, Lamborghini Countach – The Complete Story. It has also featured in numerous other journals and publications. The previous owner kept the car from August 1997 until it was acquired by the vendor in 2004, since when it has been kept in heated storage. ‘12462’ comes with service book stamped in 1988 (twice), February 1989 and January 2004 (at 10,732 kilometres) when £3,500 was spent at Modena Cars (Lamborghini Wycombe). While in the current ownership the car has been fitted with a genuine, ex-factory Countach rear wing (an option when new) and an Alpine satellite navigation system. The engine has been serviced by recognised specialists Carrera Tune (2,000 kilometres ago, immediately prior to a trip to Le Mans in 2005) and the air conditioning re-gassed at around the same time. The Anniversario is widely regarded as the best road-going Countach in terms of handling and reliability, and we can vouch for the fact that this example is a most impressive performer, while its condition appears to indicate careful use and storage. Currently showing circa 15,800 kilometres on the odometer, ‘12462’ comes with a substantial leather-bound history file, original wallet and service book, spare parts list, service invoices and expired MoT certificates from 1996 to date. It is offered with current road fund licence, Swansea V5 registration document and fresh MoT." Image Unavailable, Please Login
I came across this posting by a UK 25th owner, and whilst I cannot vouch for its accuracy, it is very interesting and I thought it worth sharing: "Only three RHD Anniversary Countachs came to the UK in Rosso Pearlato. G451TYU was the press car that the magazines used and was also featured in several books. That car has had a hard life and has been painted more than once. Known in the club as 'chippy'. G452TYU was mine, owned by a Cornish collector who I bought if from with only 3,900 miles on the clock and utterly perfect from top to bottom. G453TYU was last seen for sale by Duncan Hamilton with about 12,000 miles on it back in about 2003 IIRC? and was also very clean." Below is one of the cars referred to with its new UK registration F 139 RRO. Image Unavailable, Please Login
As promised. As you can see I have refrained from drilling any holes (I try not to be too drill-happy). The pic doesn't illustrate that the unit is very snug in there and is only coming out if I grab the handle & pull it out in an emergency. Was a little dusty in there so gave it a nice detail today. No (sticky) products, that is the leather's natural sheen. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is the white/red car for sale (a very early production 25th) as seen below. The right answer for me is I have no idea! I wonder why anyone would change the factory setup when it works perfectly well, but perhaps there is a reason the seller can provide you. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very Strange! I started a long winded response and came up with more strange questions then answers. (Deleted it) At first I wondered if a person familiar with the FI system felt this made for easier servicing or was correcting a found fault in the system? Looking at this, it appears to have a separate right and a left versions of the covers with vacuum connections. I am very interested to know why this has been installed. Maybe unfortunate damage to the original covers?? This was the easier fix??
Peter, Here is yet another variation which was/is on 12479. Again, I don't feel its my place to comment, not knowing any history etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I would have to question the accuracy of that Joe: Mine is a UK RHD in Rosso Perlato, I have a copy of the original bill of sale by Portman Lamborghini in London to the first owner, the PPG label showing Rosso Perlato is present and correct, and it is none of the cars listed above. As per my earlier post, you have a few pics of mine on this thread clearly showing the colour and it being a UK car. The pics you put up after my post are interesting - that studio shot looks very likely to be my car as everything looks right, but that image didn't make the final cut for the poster, and you must have really trawled the web to find one of it during a service ! I'll try to get a picture of the Athena poster on to this thread when I can.
I agree, and this part of what you've posted alone proves that the aforementioned theory of "just 3" for the UK is incorrect. This is how these myths start: by someone espousing what they "believe" to be correct, without really doing any comprehensive homework to corroborate their theory, and then posting said theory somewhere. People have the tendency to take what is written at face value. I recall when Mike Perry was Sales Director at Portman, "Rosso Perlato" was mentioned to me as a desirable color, and you only have to look at the images in the Chris Bennet Countach book (mostly shot in 1990) to see that Rosso Perlato was a bit more prolific than that former owner suggested. I would not be surprised if there were twice as many as he thought.
As promised, here is a picture of the original Athena poster taking pride of place on my garage wall. The logo on the bottom left of the poster is the Patrick Collection confirming that the poster is my car. Below the poster is one of my favourite pictures of my car. Taken last year at a Pistonheads.com meeting by someone who kindly sent me a copy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
"Ebay VIN display does not process low production exotic Vin numbers, but this one is number 12477 in my name, clear (lien free) clean title in hand." How many gallons of bondo on this one? Lamborghini : Countach anniversary in Lamborghini | eBay Motors
The comments about clean title and the price are interesting, and lets just leave it at that. Thanks for sharing.

12682 I'm honored that's great. This was the morning of the 2011 Ferrari and Friends Concorso in CT. We were staged to go to the CT Children's Hospital and give 40 kids rides in the cars back to the Concorso were the are greeted and introduced one by one. My car won the "Children's Choice Award" that year. The concorso is now held on LaSalle rd. in West Hartford, CT. This year it will held on June 30th. Thanks Joe you made my day. Peter
