Almost finished just a few mechanical bits to sort out e.g new brake pads and hopefully on the road for spring! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes she is back on the road a few little niggles to sort, but nothing major. General comments are as follows; Steering - actually pretty good, efforts lower than expected, steering ratio pretty good. Turn radius dreadful, but fairly precise o the roadwith good feedback Handling - really like a big heavy go-kart Ride - actually pretty good Visibilty - only really 3/4 an issue, reversing actually a doddle without resorting to the ride on the sill technique Sound - epic Performance - only really the ponderous shift travel a problem, shift efforts ok, clutch effort ok (again travel not great) Build quality - sorry guys but it is toy town - no where near a contemporay Ferrari Am I keeping it..... Absolutely the public reaction in the uk is awesome, no real anemosity, people love the Countach. The attention the car gets is unbelievable.
What I should of said was of an equivalent age Ferrari, it is no where near as well built as say a 512 or 308 of the same age.
Ha ha I would agree on the comment especially the sound, certainly an easy way to premature hearing loss! Anyway she is a keeper a few more projects planned to get all of the car back to a great condition with a few small improvements on the way.
Beautiful car and color, it was scary looking through and seeing patch job after patch job. Glad it turned out the way it did - I love that blue!

Managed to address a few things as well so got the re-furbed blower motor and duct fitted and re fixing the gearknob bezel which had come out. Next few jobs are to sort out the exhaust tip alignment as these are too horizontal, and then look to get the car re-trimmed. It will be staying red however as I like the colour combo.
Not sure yet, its a job for the winter, although will see how the local trimmer gets on with my 308 parts as this might be an option.
