Countach door strut

It's held by a "hairpin" clip like most window cranks on other cars. Unfortunately I don't have a picture to show but the local parts store near you probably sells an inexpensive tool for removing it and might be able to clue you in.

Nothing "exotic" here.

 

It's an omega spring, best is to have a specific gripper which opens when pressed together.

Page 226 is the handle (Fiat Argenta), page 230 shows the spring (107-109)

 

Hi, All I do to remove them is wrap a lenght of cheese cloth around the back of the handle, between the handle and the trim, and move it back and forth and they come off no problem, that way you don't scratch your trim with a metal tool, to refit just fit to the handle and push back on.

I just finished installing my door struts about 30 mins ago. Huge difference.
Though it was easy, I always had to lift the door all the way up.
Now, it's the way it's suppose to be.

 

Mine were easy as they just screw on, early style. 20 seconds and there off.
Buy the tool, makes life very easy plus you'll use it again.

 

Always remember; a mechanic is only as good as his tools.
