Agree, i know a couple in my system. On that note,i should have kept my 01-6,0 ,would have been a nice stablemate.

Flashback to a year ago - during the restoration we agonized over suspension & brakes, and they took up a not inconsiderable part of the build time. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Speaking of suspension & brakes, Anthony B's Downdraft receiving some TLC recently. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree. Warm and dry weather next year, we should get together Anthony. I'm based south east greater London. Be good to meet you and see the car. Cheers Rob

Ah, the Car from Oldtimer Galerie Toffen, I installed my ignition box on this one around 2015. Does it still have the dual alternators?
I'd say Renault 5 is a more fussy design, though appealing too. Lp500 prototype is simple in a mean of transition from the idea to the design and emotion. All the lines blend altogether in a nice smooth way with some distinctive shape accents. The main part of the design is obviously the rear! The rest of the car is full of finer elements, most of them were crudely dismissed in a much brutal production LP400 (although, it doesn't seem brutal now, after LP400S and others) http://www.timpelen.com/mags/img/27_503414332.jpg In this image there's even a transition from Miura design, LP500 was much much softer by the idea than it seems. http://www.timpelen.com/mags/img/43_110561549.jpg http://www.timpelen.com/mags/img/39_115520656.jpg That sketch even shows the Espada influence. http://www.timpelen.com/mags/img/53_418941676.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/originals/cf/96/ef/cf96effff129cae6282291965218c7ae.jpg And that picture is my favourite. That Countach have never tried to kill any one by the looks, haha. It was pure experiment, a final transition of Bertone Stratos Zero, Miura and genuis of Stanzani in a road car. I don't know if someone cared, but it seems that the sheet metal prototype car was based on Espada/Jarama front. https://s00.yaplakal.com/pics/pics_original/3/8/3/6091383.jpg Basically, the idea was to take the front frame rails of Espada and mount seats backwards! A gearbox could even work, with some additional gears attached to the housing. So despite the new dramatic looks there were transitions from one to the other, using many of then current production parts. One day I will recreate it, just love it so much... Sad, all the original parts must be gone now. Stanzani also said that LP400 were light because of magnesium parts, I don't know if there were more of these in LP500 prototype.
Not Rich's FLA12877 as that's a Nero/Nero car and here in California now, so I am wondering the same thing. BTW, today I found out about yet another Downdraft recently arrived in the USA, I'll post details here soon.
