Great to see those iconic tyres produced again! The side markings seem to be different from the vintage one with those big PIRELL P7 markings, or am I wrong? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sidewalls are different in that the new series says "Pirelli Cinturato P7" in accordance with its contemporary Cinturato series. That said, the spec, the shape, the shoulders, and most importantly, the iconic tread pattern is 100% the same. What is very different is the composition of these steel-belted tires, imagine the P7 Supertire we loved in modern rubber compound (Rayon & Polyamide) materials. I am very excited.
Early production (1985) Triple-Bianco LHD Downdraft in the UK, we have known this one for a long time Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sure glad they where not in Speedos, and the picture taken from this angle.although, they could poss be German.
Its a RHD Australia based car. I only ever owned 1 Lamborghini with a white interior (the ex-Shah of Persia Miura SV) and all I will say is unless you are never going to use the car, its not easy to keep the leather in nice condition, that said it does look striking I believe that Diablo is in the USA, but this is the Downdraft thread meanwhile I'll take the images of the P7 for you tomorrow, as requested. By the way did you ever get with Domenic and his GLA12975 (below)? Image Unavailable, Please Login
You can still get this epic magazine https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fast-Lane-September-1986-Lamborghini-Countach-QV-5000-Vantage-Zagato-Fiero-GT/302724405132?

I always found that photo to be odd because I have never seen a vintage P7 with the sidewall markings shown in that photo. At one time I thought it was used on an R version of the P7, now I am not sure. Cheers Jim

Jim, this image of my old P7 shows the logo in the vintage photo, and I believe this was with the standard P7 as well as the P7R, hope this helps Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Mimran Downdraft has 20-year-old (NOS) 7Ps which I will keep for sentimental reasons, but, I think my period of running-in after the full restoration is finally over! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Body colored side mirrors, i assume post production modification? What is the license plate of this particular car?
its the sportier version of the P7... the P7 R or P7 F for rally or "reinforced F in french?" It had stiffer sidewalls and giant pirelli script. i recall the uprated tires became available around 82? often owner replaced the standard P7 with the uprated version. it would have been nice if they would have rehashed the "R" type instead over the standard variant ? is it too late to do so?
P7R was the Standard tire on the QV, R= reinforced. Only for the rear, front was just P7. Assumable for the higher weight load index.
Of that I have no doubt. My friend talked me out of a white interior in the M3 I ordered for the same reasons - I expect blue jeans would be a nightmare with them. Perhaps white interior for my collector Countach, and black for my daily driver...
My car have white int,by no means a daily driver, but fairly easy to clean due to the somewhat shiny factory leather in the Countach, the atmosphere and wide sills ,angeled glass open feel is absolutely amazing, almost a must, To me,that is.
I can imagine your excitment! The original tread pattern AND the modern compound rubber! Can't wait to hear what you think of it.
Leo, never assume, I've learnt that lesson many times. Color-coded mirrors by the factory go as far back as to the early LP500S delivered to Armin Johl, and you can see them on a white LP500S press car used demonstrated by Valentino. They became more common during QV production, having said that, it was of course still a relatively rare application. The UK-registration is B 577 NAB, see below With the supremely advanced modern compound in this tire, it's way better than the old R! Correct I prefer a light color, but with some color. Let's hope I don't get carried away! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Tadek's 88.5, always nice to see a Countach with the correct stance, un-messed with, well-cared for, often shared, and in the hands of a gentleman owner Image Unavailable, Please Login
