Raymond, here we go, you can see the test car had a black interior, silver wheels also. So were 2 cars used for the article, the red/tan being PLM's car, or are we just confused? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

In 1986, Alpine electronics featured the Countach Downdraft in almost all of its regional Ad campaigns. I have 6 or 7 different versions which I'll post here: 1 Image Unavailable, Please Login
7 Most of these have probably been seen before, but its good to get them in one place Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have 7272, 7243 & 7245 as models used, can anybody confirm or add to these? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, as is this stunner. The combination of a 4 Cam/4 Valve/V12 with 6 DD Weber Carbs is a unique and ultimately unsurpassed setup in automotive history. I can see how it would gain FIA approval in this spec. Incredible
Moving on from Alpine to Pirelli as far as OEM equipment goes, this iconic Ad featuring the 345 Series tire was being featured in Italy circa 1985 presumably aimed at Countach owners, amongst others Image Unavailable, Please Login
This feature in 1985 Road & Track refers to the 'R' version of the P7 without naming it as such Image Unavailable, Please Login
Of no particular significance, the Downdraft was used for a Lanvin Ad in 1986 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Joe great work in finding the info. A friend bought the DD from Simon. I haven't drove my DD for 6 weeks until this morning, just in time for this thread. Got it back from Evans after he reworked the exhaust. I am amazed every time I drive it. The car feels as fast as it sounds. At full song going through the first few gears it's such a beast. The DD is in it's own league incomparable to any other cars I've driven. Geno Image Unavailable, Please Login
A lot of comp tests; was there really any comparison between the QV DD and the Testarossa of the same period or was the Countach in a different league altogether?
