Here's a Downdraft that has seen terminal velocity on a few occasions in the hands of it's owner, where & when we shall not publicize. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Saw this stunner posted on the Lamborghini Countach group section on Facebook today. Just gorgeous. Looks like the factory museum has been featuring a few different QV’s recently. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hello I’m sure this info has been posted before, so I apologize for asking but can someone give me the contact info for P7 tires? Thanks in advance.

Not sure which thread to post on. Met up with a friend. He has a QV fuelie and I have a DD. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Im guessing it is a reference to the 88.5, which yes they can, but not a good idea as it is part of the design.
Not a good ide, is the fuelie on picture a 88 1/2? Looks like a round belly pre 88 1/2 to me. Anyway all body variations (with the exception of the engine lid) is QV related not FI or DD.
I thought the FI cars had side strakes on the sills, similar to the 25th model, but I'm a novice to the minutiae of the marque.
No worries. This forum is a place to learn. The side strakes you reference were an design evolution of the Quattrovalvole variant that Lamborghini introduced during mid 1988 production on both carbureted (aka “downdraft”) and fuel injected models. This particular thread is dedicated specifically to the Quattrovalvole carbureted variant.
Side skirts were introduced in 1987 on mid-to-late 1987 production cars. A few side skirted cars were built before the 1987 August summer break but production of these began in September 1987 and was steady through the fall and winter of that year, for example, I personally know that Steve Downs and Nick Asher both took delivery of theirs in the UK in November 1987. The '88.5' moniker was purely an American thing started by the late Irv David of Prestige Imports who had 1987 skirt-less USA Fuelies he had listed for sale as 1988 model year cars (as many USA authorized dealers tended to do), so upon arrival of the late 1987 and early 1988 side-skirt cars he referred to them as 1988/5 cars to differentiate them. By September 1988 production of the 25th Anniversary had started.
Never knew all this. Thank you for the info. So, does this mean that once the factory started building skirted cars on or before the mid part of 87, they built some that were skirted and others the weren’t, up until a certain point in 88 when all were produced with skirts? Or, did they produce skirted and non skirted cars up until the end of QV production?
Very interesting. My car is skirtless with prod date 10/87. But titled as 88. I always tell people its an 87. Anyway, good info.
