Wow.... just wow. I can't imagine buying a Countach and letting it rot away like that. What a shame. Mike
Did not take picture but I will try to do that when appropriate and cant be confused with a peeper. Taking charity donation now. Got $7 so far...
At some point, I am willing to bet, he'll sell that very cheap. Especially if he has not burnt up his inheritance yet.
Peter: I say you just roll onto the guys property and start loading the car on a flatbed. If he comes running out to question what's happening, tell him you are from LED-FOOT Lamborghini Eminent Domain Foundation Of Outdoor Territories And that like the government who can confiscate your land for any reason, you are confiscating the car to restore it to is glory instead of rotting away in his front yard. Mike
Sad to see any Lamborghini treated that way... someone throw a cover on that thing! Or pursue getting it in their garage!
Winter is here! Laying a beautiful white coat on all cars, bringing out the white on white. Someone asked for a picture and Idid not want to disapoint. Sorry that could not take the flat tires (to the ground on the driver side) as I did not have a helper but as we get a 1 footer storm, I promess doing a pict. Would be cool to take one with snow up to the roof! Good news is that this car wont driven anywhere. Nice experiment for flat spot too! Car has not moved since spring. Image Unavailable, Please Login
hummm...good point... now i wonder.I know the guy wanted to buy a stratos..Glad he never did...or at least its not outside.
Man i'd love to grab some spare parts off of that car... wonder if it will end up parted out or just hopelessly abandoned.
As it sits, it is a target for vandals 24/7, and just because the tires are flat doesn't mean a thief with a rollback, couldn't hook a cable on to it, and in five minutes have it up on the rollback, and be GONE. No doubt the guy has full coverage insurance on the Lambo. right.
Apparently the guy's lived there a long time and everyone in the area knows him. The amount of people waving or stopping in the 10 minutes I was there was impressive. Can't do anything to that car without someone seeing it.
If you are living nearby, maybe one can approach the owner and ask if car is for sale? Should be possible in today's market...
interesting... wonder if they realize what he is doing to such a valuable piece of automotive art and history... my guess is it could be a village idiot kind of thing must be a nice guy if all these visitors respect him and don't laugh at him
Take your pace. How does it take for aluminium to desintegrate over time? now what 'd love to see is another thread like this where its done to a Ferrari!
The answer to that question was given. Dont know if I said tis before but the car did leave the house for a bit according to the verified rumors in town last year. The car was parked in front of a trendy "bistro" here. The only thing was that it was trailed there and parked as if someone drove it there. the story goes that the driver lost his licence a while ago to a DUI but there are always 4 cars sitting in the driveway. That car is going nowhere, he needs no money. I guess the guys who ususally say "its his car, he can do whatever" have the upper hand.
It has happened to Ferraris... my sister-in-law had a neighbor that left a TR sitting outside for about 7 years... uncovered on the driveway... through Chicago winters and hot humid summers... i think he finally just had it towed to the junk yard! didn't even bother to part it out... he just didn't give a rats about it anymore.
So he trailered his non running Countach to be parked at front of a restaurant? WTF... That tells everything IMO!
