i am not following the 25th but that is a very early 25th per VIN (in the first 25 car). do they have a start price? It seeems prices are actively moving up over the past year and the 25th value is not immune to this.
If trash cars now are flying of the shelves at $64K-$100K, the 25th should be moving up significantly from where it was just 6 months ago.

you know, there is something I am not getting at all. If the Red car (you know which) got sold at over $100K and the black dismembered one went in the mid 60s, an anniversary should be more valuable to these buyers that $125K, unless it is also a trash car.
from the OP it seems like a nice car. If so based on the value of trash, a good anniv is well north of $160K.
What gives? do people get crazed with the "barn find" syndrome?

An entry level project will never have a problem finding buyers. Sell an F-40 project for $200K and you will find plenty of buyers. Quite often, financially, the bargain is the best car available.

I want a project because I'll save money in the long run. But that's me. But it doesn't matter someone always snaches them up for whatever the asking price is. Before I find them or other shady **** happens when you talk about Countach's

Usually the Sellers vanish. I don't get it.
I had one all set up to buy it was a 87 up in Canada, tbakowsky had me all set up on it, he did the inspection for it running but as soon as I tried to strike a deal and the owner flaked on myself and him, Didn't even pay his bill to tbakowsky WTF is up with these people?

it is rational to buy projects as long as the price is right compared to "no needs" car. But I am no longer seeing this. The delta between the value of good cars and projects, at least those we ID here, does not appears to financial justify.
Of course you could buy it keep it and hope the value gets up long term but you may be wiser to invest that money in financial assets. it would be more liquid and probably less risky. Better yet, buy real art...

Whats interesting to me is the way people ascribe the term "Barn Find" to cars which are in fact not Barn Finds!

I disagree with this as a generalization, and in fact, its mostly not the case.

A project can in fact be Fools Gold, and there are enough stories of same on the Lamborghini world to fill another book!

I see a trend (as pointed out already in this thread by Countachqv) where buyers are more often ascribing to the age-old proven notion of: "Buy the best one you can find".

Frustration is still a factor even after you acquire a project, very understandable.

Joe is absolutely correct. This is not a "barn find" by any means. I was told the car has 16,000 miles not the 1,600 km stated. They said they were going to fix that in the ad - famous last words. The car has been repainted and I believe may have had a partial engine rebuild.

It's not the cash so much as just never being able to close the deal.

Yeah the last time I tried that the guy disappeared. Very odd.
That black 88 wouldn't have been to bad but I balked since it looked like it was flooded to me the evidence was there of sediment where regular dust wouldn't be.

I have delt with Hurricanes in the past and that's what I saw.

  21. It could easily have been. Certainly not a car I would kick myself over.

The entries in the Carfax information, in regards to Youngblood Auto Group, Springfield Missouri, that is Motorcars International, an authorized Lamborghini dealer. They have sold a lot of Lamborghini's, and Ferrari's. They are still in Springfield,Mo., but much of their operation is now based out of Texas.

No not at all especially with the price jump once it sold once.

It would have been fun but Euro spares does list the parts as available, But the dash would have been the most expensive. If I had the parts I could copy them exactly all the fiberglass would be easy seats I have a friend that does interiors and I know she could make it exactly like the real deal. But its all good.

one day I hope I get one...
