Hi all, came home driving from Italy to Holland again yesterday....mission completed! This trip was organized by Jon Martin starting with some 12 Countachs starting from England. Since I run the www.countach-register.com, and I do know many cars, I was asked to invite some more owners along the way. We managed to get 32 Countachs in total, including famous Lamborghini former test driver Valentino Balboni and a Lamborghini factory visit, really amazing! Some joined later on, some left earlier on. Two owners were force to bring another car because the Countach did not make it, A Diablo SE30 and a lovely Aventador. Two Countach fans visited us at some point with black Murcielago and a very rare Isdera Imperator. I did the trip with my friend Jeroen Veeneman, we were allowed to drive his Porsche as the camera car in this event. This was the ultimate Countach dream trip! Here are just some of the nearly 4000 pictures taken during the event... Dear Marcel, you and Jeroen have been the stars of this trip. We are so fortunate that you joined us to enjoy and to take some pretty awesome pictures! I can't wait to see the others and what you have planned with 4000 pictures ! Without your passion and contacts, we would not have had our euro friends join us. You have been a huge part of this event to get the other Euro Countach owners on-board and signed up. Bravo! Fantastic effort. Especially the amount of help and assistance that these fine people offered when there were some difficulties with the odd Italian diva. This trip for all 3 of us (Helen, Daisy and myself) has been truly wonderful. Seeing old friends and making new ones. To see so many Countach together is a sight you will never forget. With Maestro Valentino joining and seeing Mr. Pagani also at his wonderful factory. It has been such a privilege. Thanks of course to Jon for suggesting the event and getting it underway. We love you "Crazy Dutch!!" My warm regards to you my friend. Rob
Purple LP400 followed by the Isdera passing through my Village on a nice countryside trip to Lucerne, unfortunately two others missed the path and drove on the highway to Lucerne, they missed a very nice trip, via lake Hallwil, Baldegg etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Funny coincidence, after 22 years I personally met Reiner Hess, he wanted to buy the Mimran QV as well in 2001 but I was half an hour earlier there and bought her.
That was great to see many in person you only know online, unfortunately there was too less time as always to chat with everyone. I'm always open to share my experience of 14 years ownership Lamborghini Countach #GLA12997 Dashboard Renewel

So I thought Harry Metcalfe was going to be on this trip, but I have not seen any pictures of his car or himself for that matter. Also no social media from him about this Countach gathering / meet up. Anyone know if he and his car were indeed present?
Great trip, and some great pics. I have pinched a couple as they're better than mine! Been a year or two since I had a good run in my car, and definitely going to keep going now it's running so well. A good reminder that the Countach is still the daddy!
my only regret....is i was not able to attend all the event hope an other one will be organized...may be countach, may be diablo would be cool to meet again in 2024 p.s. no power steerings were harmed in the making of this picture Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dear friend Rob, I really appreciate your very kind words and compliments! Jeroen and me have been real Countach lovers since early 1980's, just kids together painting and to glue many plastic Tamiya scale models 1/24. Already fans, and then we saw our first Countach parked at a Hotel here in Holland, September 1981...hooked ever since! So for us this was our ultimate Countach dream trip, and not only to see it, but actually being a part of it was really mindblowing! And yes, starting with 11 and finally have 32 Countachs in total during this meeting with my www.countach-register.com contacts is amazing. Invited Valentino Balboni, factory visit arranged, it was all extra on the trip already perfectly organized by Jon Martin, great teamwork! It was also great to meet many owners in person that I have been in contact only online All Countach owners are real Lamborghini lovers, it felt like one big happy family. And you Rob...for sure you and your lovely Helen drove the loudest Countach with the ANSA exhaust, really loved that amazing sound! Your sense of humor is really hilarious, so funny, we really had a great time! Grazie Mille, we will meet again! Ciao!
