It still exists, and has been returned to its Giallo colour a long time ago. Unfortunately, probably for obvious reasons, the rear lenses are no longer original, but it retains a lot of small preproduction details as Joe mentions

Yes the wing and the 2 black mirrors came later, wingless, with single color-coded mirror was the original guise.

Correct you are sir, this Countach was delivered to Lamborghini main dealer Achilli Motors in Milan on the 13th of April 1974 registered MI.U46819 much to Walter Wolf's chagrin as he was promised the first production by Ubaldo Sgarzi, but his car wasn't delivered to him till 2 months later. Lamborghini contracted Achilli to use 0002 as a PR vehicle which they did allowing it to be featured in a number of magazines & publications.

Indeed the car now sports rear lenses that you might see on an LP400S - QV, also a number of unique items that the car was built with are no longer featured, here's the car when new.

LP400s came with none, 1 or 2 from the factory, in the case where the came with none or one, mirrors were often added, seeing as the earliest image shows 1 mirror it's likely it came that way.

Anybody know where I could find a lp400 model car? Size doesn't matter.

If size really does not matter, go for the Minichamps 1/43 scale. Many options also exist in 1/18 scale, in ascending order of price, rarity and detail there is Ouisia, Kyosho diecast, Autoart and Make Up. Any one of these is a good choice and can be found online on eBay or modelcar sites

the silver stripe was removed by the previous owner and was painted over in red. This is the earliest image I have of the car while it was in the US

Bob Wallace (who had a hand in this car's "S" upgrades), Max Bobnar et al used a similar application on a number of the cars they worked on.

    Hi Joe,
Sorry to rouse an old thread, but if you ever got high res pics of Oleg’s car, I’d love to see them. He was a good friend of my father’s (they worked together in the 50s and 60s doing graphic design, where Oleg did most of his car drawings and paintings) and I’ll never forget coming home when I was about 10, to see it posed in our driveway in Colorado, doors up. thanks I’m advance!

Can anyone supply me with some vintage photos of 1120009? The only photos I have are of the car when it was discovered recently.
