Ok, this is probably a shot in the dark. We're doing a Ferrari 512/Lamborghini Countach comparison for Sports Car International magazine. I have the Boxer lined up (its the same one I wrote about in the current Forza) and the owner is willing to participate. However, finding a Countach has been all but impossible. There's got to be at least ONE owner of a 5000S (non QV) in Southern California who's enough of an enthusiast to want to help out with the story. If anyone here has an early Eighties Countach or knows someone who has one, please let me know. It will involve a day of photography. I'd also like to get the owners of the cars to drive the other's car so I can get their impressions. The owner of the Boxer has agreed to let the Countach owner drive his car, and visa versa.
    Cheers,
    Zachary Mayne

Check with : Will Hubbell, who posts here, Jim Kaminski, who runs a Lambo club out of Fla, and possibly, Wil de Groot, who specializes in Lambo service and restoration (and may know of a customer who is willing).

Why not have a complete comparison with the early models of each included as well such as a 365BB or 512BB and a Lp400, the early cars are a bit different with the carbs, sounds, weight and power of each.

Yes, ultimately that would be the best comparo, 356BB v LP400 and 512BB v Countach 5000S, but logistically a little difficult. Its hard enough getting someone to spare a day with their exotic, harder still to get two together, and four is very difficult. However, possibly a second story on the two early cars is in order. Good suggestion.

Come to Dubai, you can test my '80 LP400S. Will you fly me to California to drive the BB?
