No affiliation. Found this on Autoscout, looks like all the parts are the for this US Model Counatch.

    http://www.autoscout24.eu/Details.aspx?id=222677967&cd=634870467750000000

The google translation says something like this:

"The car in question and 'a Lamborghini countach quattrovalvole injection engine from the source, black with tan interior and rims gold. Sold in america and now back to Europe. The car was completely disassembled to be restored, unfortunately the old owner had problems and was unable to finish the restoration. Therefore the car and 'partially reassembled (100% complete), engine and gearbox overhauled. I already 'an estimate body of € 25,000 to reassemble the car and € 6,000 for painting. I can also sell the car completely reassembled, of course at a higher price than the one proposed. Anyone who wants more information I can 'call and I can send lots of pictures of the car, there are more' than 50, which include all the pieces."

Wasn't there some thread on here with a big discussion about this car? If I remember correctly, it had a few rust issues too??

Could be. Was that the car that was already disassembled and wanted around the 60 or 70k area?

Even a bit high for a "pig in a poke". I would assume the worst that the engine needs to come completely apart and possibly was "rebuilt" incompetently. Rust in important places is a strong possibility. There could easily be missing parts.

Over-priced, for any injected car, that needs a significant amount of both mechanical and cosmetic work.

I asked for this car some weeks ago and i told him that 6 k for painting is ridiculous as for mine i spent 20 k + taxes at the spraiyng plant (2,5 k went just to fix the rear wing, we did three attemp and the last one was very expensive but worked...). So may be the estimated 25 k for the reassembly can be by far less than the true figure, not for labor cost but for the problems you will probably find among the engine and so on.

I think that car had to stay in the USA, here a FI car has very low market.

This car looks exactly a bust like the burgundy 5000S was, or at least this is my opinion.

If someone buys it, rememeber i still have the Ansa exaust to put on it for sale!

    ciao

i put it just on the lower part of rear arches, where debris thrown by the front wheels hits and destroy the paint.

in the picture here below there aren't yet, is just to show where i put them: i was tired to redo the paint every month...

    ciao

BIG RISK on that car. Is everything there? Has the engine work been done correctly? Can get very, very expensive quickly. Always cheaper in the long run to buy the nicest example you can afford.

It sure would have been nice if they had not bought it, I was looking at that car and it would have been a Good project. Sure there are some unknowns but I do believe the asking price was $60,000 USD so they paid 47,000 Euro plus whatever shipping and Vat charges.

I wonder if you could get all of that into one of the smaller containers.

And then what about importing it back how bad would the customs crap be on our side bringing that car back in.

I really wanted this car when it was in Florida damn people!

Bringing it back should not be a problem if you have the correct documentation. Since the car was in US at some point in its life, you aren't liable for the customs duty.

Also, everything will easy fit in a 20ft container.

Of course, always check with your customers broker. There are plenty who specialize in moving cars like these back and forth.

I have shipped a car back from Japan when I was stationed there But I'm not sure how they charge on the container because you can get two cars into one container, But I'm sure this would take up the whole thing depending on how they packed it. I would like the motor and trans bolted into the car the rest could be paletized but He is asking way to much for it now, almost double what he paid in April. I was about 30 days from buying this car in April because I was starting a new job. But it sold overseas.

I'm not sure he will come down enough and the shipping will probably be around 2-3K depending..I don't even want to look at shipping until I can talk to the seller. I'm not holding my breath.

  17. My gut feeling would be to pass. So many critical parts might not make it back. It's just not rare enough to warrant all hoops to jump and downside risk, for me anyways.

Yeah and the other thing that flags it is one photo is of a random Euro Countach and then it has photos from the Original seller. I remember them.

    So now I'm wondering Scam?

To many parts to have gone over the ocean back and forth

I just wish the damn guy in New Jersey I was talking to would get back to me about that car. Havent heard anything since the Huricane..

Email I got from the seller.

I am so Out of this one!

"All the pieces of the car were packed. Which 'do you think the right price for this car? Consider that there 'duty, transportation, packing pieces. I have already 'called many for this car, I would have already' sold for 75,000 euro. But I want 80,000 since 'with the € 35,000 can recover, so after the car is worth a lot more.' regards Fabio"

i think the burgundy 5000 fi was a better bet since at least it was complete. buyng one in pieces is a huge risk imo. chances are it world end up costing twice as much as buyng a nice one ....

I think you are right, Emilio.

When you read the world "Countach" and then you read the price asked is "75K" the first word you say is "wow!" but then after a bit you realize there is no wow at all in that deal.

That QVFi would cost us 75+25+20 k= 120 K euro if everything is perfect. Add 25 k to fix what is not perfect and you have 145 K euro for a QVFI. There is an S2 in Austria not perfect but working and not bad for 144 K: i think just a mad would buy the QVFI, or maybe just a mechanic without work.

    ciao
