I really like the Aluminum radiator set up, very temting in the event of needing to replace the original ones.although far from original. Did you notice any difference in temp?and what is the aprox weight saving? Thanks
Not sure about the weight savings, but the car runs between 80-90C all the time no matter how hot it gets outside. As for originality, I pondered if I should paint them black before I installed them. No one would have even noticed

Seeing as this is the Fuelie thread, I thought it would be interesting to discuss the CIS fuel injection system used on the QV. The system is very exact, which allowed Lamborghini to set the parameters required to comply with USA regulations. Image Unavailable, Please Login Contrary to popular belief, CIS isn't "completely limited" in its tuning potential. Rather, it has simply been set up a specific way from the factory. Using slightly milder cams and longer intake runners, Lamborghini moved the QV's torque curve downwards. These changes helped the car to co-exist with it's catalytic converters and log style manifolds which would constrict flow on the top end. The Bosch system was tuned in accordance to these changes, ultimately reducing emissions and improving mid-range response. Image Unavailable, Please Login Porsche famously used CIS in their 911 & 930 Turbo. The systems used on those cars were optimized for use on the street. However, they also used mechanical fuel injection with their 934/934.5 race cars (other models too). These units were conducive to the flow and fuel necessities of Porsche's racing engines. These systems have lots of room for modification. Porsche guys have been doing it for years! Image Unavailable, Please Login Volvo also used mechanical distributors on their race cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login It's important to note that modified distributers AREN'T required in order to run Euro cams or timing settings. There are a couple of cars running around just fine on stock distributers. This may seem like a moot topic, considering that a full exhaust yields most of the Fuelies lost power. Nonetheless I still find it to be an entertaining and informative discussion point.
Thanks for posting, i will absolutely listen to all experience out there reg the fi,once i do my exhast change.
