I mean, since you admittedly had the heater switched on, how could the AC have been great as you have often said on this forum that it is? Anyway, on the subject of ACs, anyone who tells you a standard Countach AC "works great", lives in Alaska, only drives the car for 5 mins around the block, or is blowing air from you-know-where
All good. Get the scoops so you can really use the car http://acwmotorsportplastics.co.uk/window-scoop-d.html Inexpensive & effective Image Unavailable, Please Login
All bs aside. The ac work great ,unless you stop for lunch. Park your car. In 95 degre heat. Then proceed on your travels. 2 hrs later. Tough time cooling back down properly. Unless of coarse. You hit the highway i will say this. Drove annAnni in Ft Lauderdale waay back. Best ac in any Countach ,actually really proper
Sure they do. The reason why the Countach will always be a difficult car to cool is the vast expanse of windscreen & side glass it has, and most of it (the windscreen) exists in a plane closer to horizontal than vertical Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just found this. I don't think the animal exists. I think someone made a cover that *looks* like a Murci engine. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My car came with this pull out mirror, in the passenger sun shade pocket. (Makes me wonder) is this A US spec car only? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anyone have any information about increasing the compression ratio on their Q.V? With the aluminum heads you could easily run 11.1:1 with 91-94 octane pump gas and keep the same ignition timing. The original owner that I acquired my qv from told me he used the thinner down draft head gaskets when he had the heads off. Not sure if he installed the down draft camshafts though.
I wouldn’t go far beyond 10:1 but that’s just me. Would do something like: Carrillo rods Custom thinner sleeves (LA Sleeve) Mahle Pistons Reground cams Cometic gaskets 5 angle valve job Headers Would probably call it a day after that.
Nothing better to do during my Christmas break than start my euro tailight conversion. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just wanted some opinions. Since I am doing my euro tailight conversion on my QV. should I also go the extra step and add the euro wing repeaters? Just asking because all the F.I QV’s that have I have seen that have done the euro tailight conversion. Have not done the wing repeaters. Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you’re referring to the side marker lights you have photographed, yes. Also, I would defiantly change those black tail lights surrounds to the correct reflectors.
Yes I am most definitely changing the black light surrounds to the proper red with proper backing plates.
Yes. You should change them. It was recommended to me to revert one of my previous downdrafts, and the change in the look is dramatic, more than you would think. I also reverted a FI that was DOT perverted. (The bodies were painted and finished on the assembly line before the factory had to modify them for the US markers and bumpers.) Also, while its commonly referred to as Euro spec conversion, this was actually the standard worldwide spec, with the US DOT laws mods being the only exception.
heres another I previously did during my ownership: An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later.
