I have jet coated Quicksilver headers on mine and they work, look and sound very well. The factory header design on the U.S Countach is terrible.

There is definitely a very noticeable performance gain with headers and exhaust.

Raymond got me this satin cover made for the form of the Countach several years ago, it stretches to fit the car and has a soft underside, I've washed it a couple of times since then and it still looks good today.

I ended up using a cover for a Murcialgo SV. Fits perfect with my wing and everything. Looks exactly the same as yours.

I checked my archives and found it was by Kneisner-Technik in Germany http://www.kneisner-technik.de/ as Raymond says, that was 4 or 5 years ago and unfortunately they don't do their made-to-shape Countach cover anymore, I say this with regret as it is one of the best Countach car covers I've owned, it fits the car's wingless shape perfectly, with mirror sleeves in the right size & place.

That said, Super Tweaks in the UK have a Countach cover https://www.supertweaks.com/lamborghini/lamborghini-covers/lamborghini-countach-covers/lamborghini-countach-indoor-cover-black-with-piping and it also gives you the option to specify the shape with or without the wing - image below.

You can probably use any Lamborghini factory cover as they all use the same Lycra stretchy satin material which is adaptable to most sports car shapes.

However, although they do use the Lamborghini logo, both Kneiser-Technik's Countach cover which I have and the Super Tweaks' Countach cover mentioned above have nothing to do with the Lamborghini factory.

Tell us something we don't already know.

That said, the factory didn't use the sheathed headers on just the USA DOT cars, they also used it on some Downdrafts for Switzerland as well, as seen below tested by our dear friend Valentino.

Although the sheathed system didn't look sexy, it was effective for the emissions Fuelie cars for which it was originally intended.

Kirk, you will not feel any discernible performance difference as you use the car on the street, what you will experience is a much more aggressive sound, and if you really drive the car for a number of hours, or push it hard, you'll notice it does run cooler.

The only way you experience a performance difference in a Countach is with an internally more powerful unit such as the Downdraft unit, otherwise it's basically the same and becomes more about the sound and driving experience.

Either way I definitely recommend the European headers, the sound and cooling gains are easily enough to justify the expense.

Rather than talking from the seat of your pants as usual, perhaps you can actually perform a scientific test your car with USA DOT headers and system affixed with engine out and on the dyno, then, swap back to your jet coated headers and sport exhaust, record the difference between the two plus the overall bhp numbers, and post all the data.

Meanwhile stop exaggerating, when you come back from your 3rd ban having been banned everywhere else on the planet, it pays to be cool.

Again, most people will not be able to feel any discernible performance difference as they use the car in the street, but with Euro headers they will like the sound and appreciate the cooler temps if the drive the car any distance or push it.

The Lambostuff cover is shaped for the Aventador with different mirror positions from the Countach, it doesn't fit well, and there are no Countach-specific car covers on EBay, they are all generic car covers. Of course, like some people who don't mind clothes that barely fit and are too lazy to care, perhaps they wont mind a random car cover on their Countach either. Nothing you have posted is helpful to someone who actually cares to get a Countach car cover that closely fits the car. Stop pretending there are factory Countach covers everywhere, whereas we know Super Tweaks makes a good one, they have nothing to do with the factory, and they appear to be the only one that fits the material specification that protects the paint. As always, if you care about the right stuff, some effort is involved.

You are welcome, my recommendation is to get the Super Tweaks unit, it's actually the only one on the market that is custom-shaped for the Countach and made of the Lycra material with soft backing that I can see.

Adamo, go all the way and make your car 100% Euro look, as Emilio and Rossocorsa1 have suggested.

I can't understand why people half-ass the Eu conversion with only part of the modifications, which means, get rid of those awful USA DOT side-marker lights as well as do the Eu bumpers and Eu exhaust valance.

Here's the Eu valance, and I bet Emilio can find it for you, he's excellent at sourcing parts.

Are you sure these bumper grilles are correct?

I mean they are supposed to have the spacing supports between the slats, and with the outer ends cut in a bevel like so below.

It's all in the details so you want to get everything correct.

Again I think Emilio can find the right units.
