Good to hear you are well Nils. Florida got it bad. Lot of people impacted. Hope help is given and people back on their feet soon. Good news the cars are safe.
My friend/customer in St Tropes sendt me this. Just bought this US qv fi. Loves it(ironically him and his brother owns Bertone) Image Unavailable, Please Login
I sendt him a pm. I think he is in Tampa erea, wich did ok, we have a small ranch/acerage on the bay proximity in Palmetto, just south of Him, and our place had no damage other than branches everywhere. In fact my Countach is going to that location soon, beeing our Cape neighborhood is in bad shape, gutted my house last week, will start rebuilding soon, no damage to our house from wind. My Cars where in a garage with much higher ground and 100% unaffected. Our Palmetto place would be great for a West coast Countach get together. Hopefully Ken will chime inn.
The Cape is where several of my friends have houses. One had minor damage, another lost his roof, it might be a complete write off, another house also on a canal got flooded, surprisingly his boat survived. They are drying that one out & should be good. I had just purchased a house in the Keys, only paid one utility bill. Fortunately no damage. I was on the edge of my seat watching the hurricane on the news. What a mess, my heart goes out to those affected.
Question about AC Compressor.....I need to replace or rebuild mine. Trying to figure out which way to go. Also, does anyone know if it is a 2 groove, 6 groove, or 7 groove pulley? I've heard 2 but I'm not 100%. I hear that it is a pretty common Sanden 508 compressor: https://www.summitracing.com/search?SortBy=BestKeywordMatch&SortOrder=Ascending&keyword=sanden%20compressor%20508
Received some info about my Countach. It is one of two with bianco perlato paint and sweat box black interior. Interesting how both came to Canada. They must have thought it does not get hot over here lol Image Unavailable, Please Login
Scott, You are correct. It is the Sanden 508. From what I understand, you just get the core and change out the back plate (where the inlet and exhaust ports are and swap those). I’m sure if Chad sees this he will chime in as well. As far as the pulley, I think you can swap that as well too. Here is a service guide that might be of help: https://www.sanden.com/objects/Sanden%20SD%20Service%20Manual.pdf Mike

Get well soon. I remember you found a receiver dryer that was available at a local part store, that worked on a Countach. Do you remember what car that it was for?
Can someone please educate me - when were the first fuel injected QV’s produced? Was this 86 or not until 87? Thank you.
Thanks, Jim. I’m pretty certain they didn’t actually introduce the US DOT fuel injected variant until at least 86.
