Welcome Rich, good to see the project here.

Please do keep us updated on this restore. Yellow with black interior??? Is the intention to retain these colours when the time comes?

    My thanks
    Rob

    Thanks Rob
Yellow was not the original colour, it has white interior currently.

Not sure of colours at this stage.

There was quite a lot of corrosion (pic 1) but some of the tubes in the engine bay had been replaced in the past but were incorrect (pic 2)

Which is why we put them away for most of the year. The salt is a killer here.

I think what actually happens is moisture gets trapped between the front undertray and tubes as this is where the corrosion seems most severe, the drainage on the undertray is not great.

Rich, a few questions if I may.

Replacement tubing sections: Wrong diameter? Wrong Steel? Crappy Welds? All of the above?

Corrosion Prevention: After blasting what type of primer did you use? Were the tubes treated internally ?

Thanks for sharing, what a great project!
