Look at this LP400s... Looks modified with the roof scoops. Looking into the engine bay, it looks turbocharged? Don’t know if this is a repost. Love the colour with gold wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
It's well known, it's this car: http://www.lambocars.com/countach/countach_lp400_s_with_vortech_charger.html The setup of the lines/hoses is about the 4th Version.
Verde Abete? If so, almost identical to 1121124 - which, if my facts are correct, was Verde Abete / Testa di Moro, with gold wheels. The only external differences, apart from the engine cover, are the mirrors and the gold badging (1121124 had black 'flag' mirrors and black badging). It is a terrible shame that both these cars are no longer that rare colour...

What was the temperature? I took mine to a cars & coffee as well. It was cold in the 20's. That might be my last drive until spring.
Upper 40 s,sounds fantastic, lots of hp and no ac needed.perfect for these old naturally aspirated motors.
A friend of mine owns the Vortech Countach. He bought it as pictured below and restored it but kept the engine mods and the scoops. His actual reference for the colours were the pictures you attached http://www.lambocars.com/countach/countach_lp400_s_with_vortech_charger.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cool, as Raymond says, this is a car that has existed in a number of different guises over the years, like the proverbial cat with nine lives, although the cat is looking better than before, it's getting closer to original spec with time, that's good. I don't think it would be an insurmountable task to take off all the supercharging plumbing and revert to a standard LP400S engine and current values make it viable. Color-changes when showing a classic car at a major Concours D'Elegance are accepted as not an issue so long as they are from the particular model's production color palette, and since we know there were a least 3 Verde Abete LP400S, I'd stick with the color until it finally needs to be repainted again.
Bee Gees star Barry Gibb's LP500S still looks good, totally original & unmolested Image Unavailable, Please Login
I drove it earlier this year with a view to purchase. The car was in Adelaide at the time. We could not come to terms. It needed complete restoration and I intended to bring it back to original.
