  1. Fund raiser years ago. Nothing happened, but I was on the edge of my seat with all of the drunks circling the car. One thought they were raffling off the cars. Ugh....Note to self next time - send check not car.

I don’t blame you. May I ask what kind of Countach you have?

  3. Carbed 5000s. Yes still has the rear US panel, I bought the conversion parts (all factory Lamborghini btw) just something that I may do one day? I never thought of it as a half completed euro version until the last few days, after 12 years of ownership. I don't know, love the car as it is...Anyways this video has it in the beginning.

Thank you. Beautiful. Would love to see more pics of the interior as well.

Looks like your side windows would also only go down a few inches before hitting the inside of the door skin, LOL.
Can I ask why you work on these every week... is it just a hobby and fun or do you plan to 3 D print something out or what?

Haha, I did not want to split the windows with beams until I know what is achievable in real life without altering the clean glass look. I envision a nice split window seam on the outside, and frame/felt/rubber on the inside of the glass. Another thing I might play with is a thicker interior panel for the door for the glass to roll down into it will not be a perfect slide motion on the window rails, it will be a rotation and slide at the same time.

Besides it being my hobby, I do plan on building this in real life, many engineering firms have contacted me saying they can build it for me if i find any investors. It would be a low volume production. One of which was involved in making the Chiron Carbon fiber bodies! Another done Mclaren F1 Carbon fiber Aero parts i believe.
I have actually 3D printed this car at 1/10th scale already haha.

Currently, it looks way too much like the original with very little difference. I hope it evolves as you go forward. Could be a winner.

If I was talented like you, I would play with a design that would go way back......unflared lp400 that is lower and wider and more brutal.... that can tuck some very fat tires in the rear quarters. Just thinking out loud :)

I think the NACA ducts should go or be more subtle and the rear intakes/shoulder and the wheel arches need more integration and refinement.
Trouble is I guess it then becomes less a Countach reimagining and more Diablo/Murcielago wannabe.
Really nice idea and render and it would be amazing to see your designs made into reality!

I want to add that this is also partly why I personally love and am fascinated with the 25th Anniversary Countach.

    Thank you :)
My initially design did not have the Naca duct an that was mainly because the LP500 did not have it. My arguement was a modern car should run cooler than an old car. I was bombarded by fellow Countach fanatics to add it in so I did at half the depth. I do not regret it as it looks awesome still, and like you said, if it lacked all these pronounced flares and Naca duct, it would be a new Lamborghini, not a new Countach.
If the right investors come, I can get this thing built. I am excited as it is breaking Automotive news!

Thank you for your kind words :)
I did it in the taste of the Miura 2006 Concept. If I changed too much it would be just another Lambo concept, not a retro concept. I kept the same door to belly curve as I LOVE it, Naca duct as it is iconic, front quarter panel bulges , many many elements, just modernized it and gave it some curves.

I do plan on doing an unflared version!! Just need it make more progress on my 1/4 scale project now haha.

Jimmy, whilst you are developing your beautiful retro concepts, lets not forget there are some real Countachs that could use rebuilding ;) this one an LP500S (ELA12696) like your dad had! I bet you would do a great job restoring one

Aw thank you for for your kind words. That is a beauty right there. Let this be a secret between me and you (the internet haha) the goal is to buy a REAL Countach If I make any money from the Retro Concept... haha.
As far as restoring, I can definitely help out in reproduction of parts for sure, I have already done full scale (and quarter scale) parts that fit the real cars. Some cars actually have me and my friends parts on already :)

BTW, I will finally get my dad behind the wheel of a Countach after 35 years! Been a life long dream to be riding shotgun with my dad in a Countach and thanks to my friend Carl, I can finally do that... Will post pictures.

Here is a CGI poster I did as a gift to my great friend who not only let me drive his Lamborghini Countach and Diablo, but let me stay at his home for almost a week. was a great time and keen to visit again soon.

Here it is next to the car, I am glad he loved it, even has the same exhausts and licence plate (which is missing the black plastic plate holder) Devil is in the detail ;)

    That will be epic!

Tell your friend I remember his Countach LP500S from when it was nearly-new and the 1st owner had it looked after by Emblem Sports Cars in Dorset (UK), I always thought it had the most spectacular interior, then & now.

Old video of a black turbo Countach LP400s. Definitely sounds incredible!
John, do you have any information on this Turbo'd example? Seems to have the same decaling on the lower rockers...

We talked about two dozen times about this car, it's the second Turbo of swiss dealer max Bobnar, LP500S ELA12712, the first Turbo was LP400s #1121160, currently for sale at currated after it was hidden away for ~20 years in Vegas.
