Never have any regrets, (if this is the car then it's now wingless) the current owner uses it as God & Ferruccio intended, last year he shipped it to South America for a rally in Patagonia! View attachment 2654518
It was wingless from March 2011: I liket it more without the wing. Picture posted were from November 2010. This below is from November 2011. Glad the owner enjoy the car: I did 6000 km with that in four years. Ciao View attachment 2654523
Just curious..... has anyone tried these shocks/springs on their Countach? I keep seeing them on eBay, but nobody I know has installed them. I’d be interested to hear how they compare to the OEM units. http://en.intraxracing.nl/merken/lamborghini/countach/lam5507-1k2/ Mikee
I really like this shoot. Taken in Berlin @ Ku´damm in 1982. Looks like the owner was not happy with the original mirror design... View attachment 2654587
HAH! Yes, and in particular when this "Star-Wars-on-wheels"-car, a true capitalist masterpiece, past the iron curtain and the completely humorless GDR soldiers went crazy in their weird little Tabant cars. Can`t stop laughing....! Muaaaarghhh!
Has anybody early history infos/photos etc. of Countach DLA12635? Currently its white/white. According to my info it was first registered on April 9, 1984.
Perhaps this one below? As an aside we have just sold a white/white LP500S that was originally delivered to Monaco, but it was ELA12696 View attachment 2654603
Yes, except with racehorses which have the potential to win millions in purse money, then retire, and make millions again in stud fees for the next 20 years! OK not every one is California Chrome but I think the upside potential of a small stake in a Countach is likely fairly limited. Perhaps if you invested in 50 or 100 different classic cars that might be quite interesting.
According to postings elsewhere, it looks like Cargolux delivered a UK-registered LP400 and 918 Spyder to Mexico City Image Unavailable, Please Login
Haha. I forgot horse racing was another passion of yours. Yes, I was trying to be nice. It is not something I would invest in myself. I've mentioned it before, but worth repeating, is that I planned on losing money when I bought my Countach. I was hoping to lose no more than 10k and get out in a year or less. I just had to get it out of my system...12 plus years later here we are.
That is a great attitude to have in life, I can sum it up in two words: reasonable expectations, life is always better for it.
I believe the car you posted is an S3 in a recreation of the livery of this original S1 you might be thinking of https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mo14/monterey/lots/r114-1979-lamborghini-countach-lp400s-series-i/181109
