I'd like to arrange with you & Mike to get some of these engines dyno'd on the bench prior to installment so we can expand our database of true horsepower across the variants

All good, but, damn it, make the car good looking. Look at the that new De Tomasso p-72, holey crap! They certainly got it right 100%, at least my my eyes.

    Hi Joe
Spoke to Mike and we are hoping to get the QV and 1 of the 5000S engines back in and cars home for Christmas so I don't think there will be time to dyno them, however Carrera Sport has lots of Countach engines coming out and being rebuilt so perhaps we could arrange something for next year?

    Regards
    Richard

I don’t know for certain but it doesn’t look like his signature that I’ve seen on cars he has signed.

Correct, original to 1121124 as seen below, the original color seems a bit more muted or subdued with silver tint than the current rendition wouldn't you say?

Also, isn't Verde Abete another example of PPG Milano naming the same paint something different for a different manufacturer as in Verde Pino for Ferrari?

It’s possible that the colours are the same.

The difference of one half of one gram of a tint in a gallon of paint can change the appearance of a colour once it is applied.

I would venture a guess that there are subtle differences in the configuration of the paint, such as the proportion of each tint, type of metallic added, etc. that is proprietary to each car makers specifications.

If this car were mine it would be restored back to original livery and all the Vortech doo-dads would be dropped off at Goodwill.

The plan is to restore the engine to original... Parts are being collected. Owner is enjoying his Countach a lot in the meantime!
He first was thinking about bringing it back to 'Bianco - Bianco' but he chose to have it to his dream-combo of 'Verde Abete - Senape'.

About the color, it is truly 'Verde Abete' but many photographers who shot this car are applying their own effects to the colors... hence the differences on some shots.
This is the true shade when I took it earlier this year:

Reviewing his ownership he himself came to the conclusion that adding the charger was the hugest fault, for the money and troubles invested he could have easily bought a QV.
