Guys a brilliant video of factory production ,I could not find a way from my phone to post as a new post so mods please move .
Nice film, I think we’ve posted it before but a worthy repost, that SV is the Prototype 4758 which we used to own.
Joe - 666RU reappearing brings a new question - what is the identity of the red QV in Malaysia registered WAR86, as we thought it was this car? Also, do you know of any more cars stashed in lockup garages in the UK or have they all come to light? I’ve seen four recently - there was one or more near Cardiff I hear. Robert
it's precisely the opposite ... The Lady car is #112.1220 as you can see on 4 little details... even if it is not anymore in Alpine guise... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
From speaking with the original ad executives at Alpine there were several cars used in a variety of the campaigns. As the campaigns took off the executives tell a wonderful story of making a board presentation on why they should actually go out and actually purchase one. The Alpine Corporation is documented to have purchased two cars. The first I do not have an identification of, the second was the Downdraft I have been the caretaker of for the last 20 years.
John - I’m in search of an owners and installation manuals (and any other literature that came with the stereo) for my stereo - model 7148L. Can you please help?
Happy caretaker… #112.1220 wasn't bought new by Alpine, but few years later on 13/06/1986... here is again… Image Unavailable, Please Login
The other car almost looks like an artists rendering. Certainly, the red at the back below the boot where the US toasters might have been is confusing - I've never seen that.
A few other things don't look right to me either - the front wheel appears to be set back in the wheel arch, and right at the front is almost a Ferrari 308 like black bumper
Just looks like pass the car round various dealers as looks like the same car GVE London have sold, the front bumper/spoiler fit is truly horrific
