Sure, I also purchased Bianco Perlato/Rosso LP500S ELA12730 from Joe Nastasi and resold it to my client.
A Countach Dream Come True Here is Lance B in 1976 sitting in a Countach LP400 in his driveway. 44 years later the good doctor has finally made a childhood dream come true. This is one of the things that keeps me doing what I do. Details to follow... Image Unavailable, Please Login
He actually purchased another blue Countach, not the one he was pictured sitting in way back in 1976, needless to say he's very excited.
Do you know where that photo of young Lance and the LP400 was taken? Pasadena? Beverly Hills? New York?
Hi, thanks for posting this, apologies and I will follow this guidance in future. You and others with photos on here should should look on ebay - a ton of your photos have been reproduced and sold. See here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Portman-Lamborghini-Countach-Jalpa-etc-Photographs-/312926315840?hash=item48dbdca540%3Ag%3A58AAAOSwh-Jd6P1E&nma=true&si=an%252BC6%252BygoAT3IlbbNPK9JXQKt%252Fo%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 If you go into ebay.co.uk, search for "Portman Lamborghini" and in "completed listings", there is a seller called "multitude_sales" who has sold many of your photos (and mine) and snapper seven's Robert
Photos that I have taken over 30 years and those of my professional photographer wife many of which we've used for publication of my Miura book and 288 GTO book are copied reproduced and sold all over the world. IMO even if you make copyright enforcement a full-time-job you can't stop all reproduction, at this point I take the position that I'm flattered that someone wants to use my photos.
Beautiful Blu Acapulco/Champagne LP500S sold by us within a week and heading to California in the near future. The rear wing will be removed and hung on the wall. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I sent it to you via email, meanwhile with the new owner's permission I'll share more details of the car when it arrives in California.
I asked just for you: The image was actually taken local to me in the Dover Shores neighborhood of Newport Beach, California, at LP400 owner Jim Marino's house - so not in his own driveway after all. Marino (full name Salvatore Onofrio James), owned Jim Marino Motorcars which dealt in Ferraris on PCH by the Balboa Bay Club in the 1970s. FWIW Marino also owned a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Alhambra, a Volkswagen dealership in Huntington Beach, a Mazda dealership in Buena Park, a Pontiac & Honda dealership in Fullerton, and a Mitsubishi dealership in Orange County. He also owned The Crow's Nest boat brokerage in Newport Beach.
Thanks a lot, Joe! You know my passion for the LP400, and those precisions are truly appreciated! I believe this LP400 to be #1120152, painted "Azzurro Dino Metallizzato" a rare Ferrari light blue shade. Unless it was actually silver? Sure it's light blue and not Argento Metallizzato?
My pleasure. Yes, I am told it is light metallic blue, therefore it's Azzuro Dino Metallizzato with a dark blue interior, Jim Marino was a man of impeccable taste.
Thanks Joe, somehow I saw this VIN recently popping up quite often. As expected not a swiss car but my favorite Color from the factory range together with Tahiti. My favorite collection would be a yellow LP400, a Tahiti S1 like 1096, rame Colorado 1312, Acapulco blue 5l and my former QV Mimran, unfortunately the financials do not fit the wishlist.
We have very similar tastes Raymond, I had a yellow LP400 (1120192), a Blu Tahiti S1 (1121038) and of course still have the Bordeaux Speciale Mimran Downdraft (GLA12997). It is an LP400S 'moody' wing without end-plates, it will be removed and kept aside.
I believe this is Ferrari F1 driver Carlos Reutemann and an LP400S S3 at Monza in 1982. Looks like he's yelling to someone: "how do you open this damned trunk?!" Image Unavailable, Please Login
I guess this is #1402, swiss side indicator setup delivered dec. 1981 to laborghini SA of Leimer in Rosso/rosso.
