Dear Countach Lovers, Being a Lamborghini enthusiast, I've been making pictures at dealers and events here in Europe since the early 1980’s. .My ultimate dreamcar from the beginning, and still is..the COUNTACH ! It was always my dream to have a Countach site, and it’s finally ready to go now! It’s far from complete yet, but the site will be regulary updated with new entry’s, that will be fun! If you check out the LP400 section, you might get an idea what this site wil look like when all models are filled with Countachs. I'm not doing this alone, but with help of friends, and a special thanks goes to Victor Debon, who really helps a lot, and got me inspired to finally do this! And of course a big compliment to Joe Sackey, for keeping a few Countach threads here alive with pictures and info. A lot of missing pieces of the big Countach puzzle are to be found right here, very important for Countach history! I wanted to let you all know that I will always try to mention the source of info and photo’s on my site, if possible. So you probably will see your name as well now and then, I hope that will be OK for you. If not just contact me. We are trying to make a nice overview of all 2000 Countachs built, and that can be viewed for all for free. If you are interested to see more pictures and information of each Countach, you can join us and become a member. There is a little yearly membership fee being asked for covering some costs to keep the site running safely, and for the many many hours of work. I also use PayPal, just contact me. For those who regularly help me with contributions, your membership will renewed for free after a year. In my archives I also have a lot of Countach pictures that have never been published before, so it will be interesting for all. Hereby I proudly present: www.countach-register.com Let the fun begin! Hi John, I will try to get that right. In the meantime, you can also reach me by email: [email protected] and I will make sure your cars will be added on the site. thanks!
This is a great effort Marcel and I am sure a labour of love! A quick review and I was impressed you have managed to find pics of so many the LP400 . I have provided a link on Pistonheads as I am sure UK classic Lamborghini fans will enjoy it.
Wonderful dream-project finally coming to reality! Bravo et merci Marcel for your time, trust and kindness! More to come, very soon...
Well done Marcel and looking forward to seeing more. It’s looks really good - clean, crisp .. and accurate!
Hello everyone ! I bought a few days ago this picture. Does someone know more about this Swiss-registered Countach (licence plate = SO 78 U) ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
This entry-level Lamborghini offers more fun for a lot less money https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/19/success/lamborghini-huracan-evo-rwd/index.html
I posted a similar appeal in the downdraft thread but I thought I’d do the same here. I’m looking to acquire owners manual for both my stereo (7148L) and my speakers (6240) - see photos. Most late 5000S’s and early carbureted QV’s Came with these stock. I would also be open to buying the stereos and speakers if the manuals are included. Please contact me if you’re open to taking. Thank you. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am not sure these two more images will help, as the original picture is indeed grainy and focus isn't really good. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I tend to say it's a LP400s Serie 2 or 3 with a QV wing. Red/Champagne. I scanned my whole archive - I couldn't find a Picture with that eyecatching sticker.
There are also some S2 with those mirrors, but about the ride-height was also my thought. Rosso/Champagne possible cars: 1121322 - the cannonball 2 car 1121386 - but this one has the US side indicators Rosso/Bianco possible cars: 1121352 - unknown so far 1121358 - currently yellow 1121384 - owned by NSXER
Could someone please post a picture of a Countach front wheel well, without the wheel, showing the front brake duct hose. The original grey brake hose on my car has been painted black at some point and it is not clear to me if this was done at the factory or afterwards. The car is a 1983 5000S, and I have no idea if it changed over time. I bought some original looking hose to replace them and would like to know if they were sprayed black originally. Thank you in advance.
Anybody have a sticky throttle cable on a late model Countach? I pressed the gas pedal to the floor and the cable stuck wide open. Any help on a fix would be great.
happened to my car also, in the driveway, engine not running, its in the tube wich runs from the engine room linkage,to the actual pedal mecanisme, pour some thin oil down the pipe wich surrounds the actual wire,on the engine side,wd 40,works, mine cleared right up, but shuld eventually be taken apart and cleaned.
I suggest using pure oil, and not WD-40. WD-40 is really not a great lubricant as they put other stuff in it to be able to spray it. This other stuff can become sticky and gummy over time. Also, don’t use it on locks!
